Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
a rapier would be prefect since you can parry and theyre way faster than the large club, it will keep your opponent guessing since youre gonna go from a really gast attack to a not so fast attack.

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
I'd go Rapier or Dagger in the off-hand, a little conventional I know, but what're you gonna do?
Maybe a katana if you find neither to your liking.

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
I'm doind the offhand CB right now and I love it. I think I'll go with an Estoc on the LC loadout though. Hand axe back up. And I always use the Composite bow now. On all my builds. It's perfect for catching people trying to heal when theyre down to double digit hp. Just finished off a DW who was going nuts with humanity. I drew back and just waited.... Haha.

lol nice one dude, i always have my haevy crossbow+15 on my second slot, i have killed so many people with it and it works great on pyromancy, specially firetorm since every hit its a headshot.

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
I just made a dual wield build the other day.
RH: Quelaag Furysword -> Lightnning Bandit Knife +5 (already had it lightning before build was finished)
LH: laito +15 -> Grass Crest Shield (for chasing down the runners)
Haven't really gotten many invasions as of yet, but what I have gotten have been fairly successful.
Oh, laito +15 offhand swing does 200-400 depending on enemy equipment.

I'm going to do an all bow build using the Comp, DS greatbow and heavy cross. Interested to see how I do with the cross since I've actually never used it before. I hear good things though. And bows period are awesome against pyro builds. The majority of their casts leave them sitting wide open for bow punishment.

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
i rally wanted to use a bow with my leeroy build but i only had 8 dex so i used the heavy crossbow out of necessity and i ended up discovering how good it was, i have been using it on all my builds ever since, i use the light when i cant spare the weight but its not much of a difference from the heavy crossbow since they both use heavy bolts.

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
Ive actually never used a bow on a PvP build before , but Im def going to give the Composite Bow a go any time soon. It's going to be a new learning curve to incorporate it during duels for me , should be fun.
It's the fastest drawing bow right ? How is the damage output with high dex while using poisonous arrows ?

Better you use chaos with a pure dex build, it's c/c scaling i think.
EDIT: With fire and poison arrows

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
Fastest draw time. On a 40/40 build poison arrows hit for around 200. Large arrows hit for close to 300. Bows are INCREDIBLY useful in PvP. You'll love it.

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
Thanks !
Yeah it's really dangerous when someone draws out a composite bow if you are low on health , it's very hard to dodge , evade or outrun without locking of , even then it still turns out in a guessing game
Dragonslayer bow arrows can be rolled through more ''easily'' according to the sound the bow makes when releasing.

Yeah. DS bow can't be circle strafed though. That's the best part about it.

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
anyone else done dual butcher knives? i did for a adjudicator build, worked pretty well for stunlocking (alternating blows did hit faster than just one hand attacking) used smoughs armor...

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
Tweaked my setup a little and got what I think is the best all-around loadout for me. Clay and BSS in main, CB and Comp Bow offhand. The BSS and CB compliment each other perfectly, and their combos are almost seamless. And I've still got range and stunlock options. I'm satisfied.

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
I'll try that at some point but i feel unsure about the CB. Estoc feels a more natural fit in the off hand with the BSS for me... especially with dat leo ring.

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
You'll just have to take my word for it, my man. I tried some other stuff, but I went right back to the CB. PERFECT offhand weapon, in my opinion. The rapiers just do crap damage, and the katana swings are fairly quick too. The rapiers' strongest points are criticals and dash attacks. Obviously you can't do ether of them in the offhand. And katanas parry just fine. I just love this setup, man. LOVE it.

Ive never tried that before but now Im really interested in doing so ,
because it's something new again :pirat:

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
i've used dual msgs and the left one can dead angle pretty good and since its slower than the reg main hand r1 its harder to parry. i did ok with it.

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
yeah me too , or dex/dex offcourse.
Im not much of a parrying hero either :|
so it's best for me to not use a shield at all , unless I'm rolling the bonewheels offcourse
I have tested out a BKGA on the left , but unfortunately it doesn't have that fast R1's swing , instead L2 does an overhead attack with slow recovery
If it had that R1 attack assigned to L2 , I think it would've been awesome paired up with a greatsword on the right :suspect:

I'm surprised no one has had the bright idea of mixing the BKGA in the offhand with a GS in the main hand.

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
Two slow weapons wouldn't work for my plastyle, I think. Might as well just use the one, you know? I like a fast left and hard right. Sometimes two fast weapons, but never duplicates. If you've got the same attack on both sides, it doesn't make sense to dual wield.

Thats why the BKGA, since it's the fastest STR weapon.

I don't want them to have the same moves either & I prefer an elaborate moveset., I hope to find a nice dual STR combo any time soon though. I want to test it out at least.

Re: Dual Wield Weapon Combos.
Is it just me, or do offhand curved swords seem to have a longer parry window than most other offhand weapons...
