why do people get so mad?

Why do people get so mad over giant armor and MoM? It's it the game as a set and if the toon is built for it, how can you say its unfair?

It's not unfair, I just don't like the fact it makes my eyes bleed.

overall I'd have to say because it's the definition of mini-maxing, and as such kills player creativity. I mean, look at it this way... slap on the MoM or the MoF depending on the weight of your gear, and the giants armor in your other slots. You now have 77 poise, and a stat-boost. You are wearing the perfect armor set. Stat Wise, there is no reason to wear anything else. Anything that kills player creativity that much is going to get hated on.

Well, I get tired of listening to politicians lie, sling mud at each other, and make promises that they have intention in keeping. I'm not even angry about it anymore, I'm just jaded to it, and every time I hear it I just :roll:.

It's the same principle with the DWGR+Giant's/Havel's+. I'm not mad. I'm just bored.

It is pretty much one of the best choices for armor/helm. Which is bad game balancing imo, but its not that bad. I dont really care so much about the giants armor as i do the mom masks added vit(which is usually stacked on top of 50-99 vit to begin with). Plus, when you are fighting only giants/mom combos in a game that has sooooo much awesome looking armor it kinda pisses you off. People will go for that top tier, but at least from makes them look ugly. Too bad they dont care.....

Pretty much punch. They just wanna win, and don't mind making people's eyes sore doing it

I'm a noob to the social part of the game and wanted peoples opinion on the matter. I use a str/faith build for it and 40 vit and end. Didn't see that much of a difference between havels or black iron tanks I invade. And I'm a nice invader too, except like last night when I invaded a guy and he bsed me while I bowed and invaded him again and rushed and stunlocked him into a lightning claymore dreamboat

Dont worry about it too much, i know with 40 vit it doesnt seem that bad to get an additional 200hp from a mask(and it isnt). I do suggest not using it though, you will just be treated badly in game(maybe put it on and flask/heal when you see other mom users). I would suggest maybe just using the ring of favor and protection. It obviously takes a ring slot and cant be taken off, but it provides pretty much the same amount of hp with added stamina/end.

pretty much what everyone said, it kills originality. specially with all the different builds you can make, getting summoned to fight the same build is so damn boring.

Yeah, it kind of sucks when some of your favorite gear has a stigma attached to it. Off and on I still love the Black Knight Great Axe, but if I get invaded I'll switch to something else. I should use what I want, but I don't like the idea of being lumped in with that Giant's, MoM/MoC wearing, BKGA wielding, backstab fishing crowd.

I'll never understand the "unfair" part though.

i think people dont like the bkga because its unbalanced, it has all pros and no cons if you know how to use properly. unfair is buffing the moonlight gs with cmw.

Sadly calli if there's something that makes a game easier, it will always get exploited..

Then again you need to think of the reasons why this stigmatised gear are some of your favourites? Probably for that very reason, because it's so much better than everything else.

I wear all of the 3 masks. The most OP one is MoF, IMO, and it looks god-awful. I do wear it, but I don't base my builds after it (i.e. flipping tanks). Just like wearing the Crown of Dusk for sorcerer/mage/pyro builds. MoM is my go-to. But, If I use heavier weapons (and I can afford the weight), I'll use MoC instead. Neither of those two are OP or game breaking (MoM on my builds adds only 200 HP). MoF is way overpowered, IMO, and I'd prefer if it didn't exist.
