How do YOU farm in Dark Souls.

I farm like i don't have a social life...not really, well maybe.

I farmed Humanity from thoses Baby skeletons in Nitos area for several hours until i had to stacks of 99

I farmed the Kiln for 6hrs doin 100 runs for the chunks

next :

The respawning Titinite Demon in lost Izalith

and drakes in the Drake Valley

Does anyone else go to this extent to get a large number of items

I use very minimal gear frankly, I never use slabs and barely use consumables. Because I'm very lazy, and just can't be asked to haha.

i like to farm for green titanites and large titanites in the dephts while cooping the boss there for my low lvl chars, best way to get titanites and souls and i hate farming for chunks in new londo, but sometimes is the only way

I farmed humanity from the skellie kids once to level in the Chaos Covenant (only a few more than 30), about 20 minutes for ears for Dark Moon, haven't bothered getting the dragon torso stone.

The only consistent farming I've done is a burg run through a few times for arrows/consumables when I first started and Anor Londo (light in NG+ then Dark ever after) for souls to get levels here and there.

I used to farm green and blue chunks via the golems near Darkroot. That was my first ever char.
Now, I get my gear, then farm souls and humanity in the forest.

When I'm low level and cooping in the burg I farm the humanity from the enemies, souls and titanite shards to get my longsword to +5.
Then I farm the balder knights for a BSS and some shards and the ocassional humanity.
At the depths I farm the rats and the jellies for humanity and gren and large shards.
I always do this while I'm waiting to be summoned.
After that it depends on my build. If Im going with Int I farm the crystal golems for blue chunks and I get the enchanted ember as soon as I can so I can get an enchanted weapon +4 as soon as I can.

I have tried to farm the DW for a slab but having to go all the way down and then HWB back every time kind of makes me feel lazy about it.
I also try to get a slab from the CL in the Hollow but they don't like me because never get one from them... F...ing Lizards

I used to farm The Six Eyed Channelers for a Trident

I tend to farm green and large titanite shards from the slimes in the depths, however until I get Wrath of the Gods that won't be as effective as it could be. I farm humanity from the rats in the Depths also, alternating the two runs alleviates the monotony somewhat. Once I can get to Lost Izalith and Tomb of the Giants I'll be farming Demon titanite and Humanity like a madman.

I farmed the baby-skel-e-tores in the catacombs for hours on my 1st playthru for humanity.

I also farmed the crap out of the forest for souls

I use the Dragon-Head glitch for souls and humanity, and I use the duplication glitch for all the titanite I want. And I dont care what anybody says because I am going to continue to glitch for the rest of my life.

On Xbox i was fortunate enough that someone was willing to give me alot of items. But no so on the PS3. ive had to farm everthing you cant buy.

when i start a new toon and i want to get it going quickly i use the red dragon to burn the enemies on the bridge, hit the bonfire below, rinse repeat for 555 souls a go. do this till i have 20,000 souls (norm have almost 10,000 from just saving every soul up until there) and then do a mad dash to andre and buy the crest of artorias and then use the glitchy pathfinding soul farming thing in the forest. to get to there takes roughly 45 minutes and then u can level a new toon fairly quickly to get things rolling....

I prefer to play magic users in such games primarily because I hate farming for this crap. I do it minimally just to update the sorcerer's set. It's kind of nice knowing which type of character you want to play as after experimenting with this game in prior walkthroughs because I don't really bother with farming chunks or anything. Especially since my main strategy is to not get hit!

Two places,

1. I farm in Anor Londo just past the princess guinevere. I killed her then I kill the two adventurers just past Ornstein and Smough area, Not the giants but the ones that replace them in Dark Anor Londo. They net 10,000 souls on NG so i kill, homeward bone, and repeat. It makes leveling up weapons much faster in NG.

2. When i get to the point that I need titanite chuncks I put on the serpent ring and go to new londo and farm the skeleton guys at the bottom, darkwraiths maybe they are called?

using those two methods I find it easy and quick to upgrade since the Giant blacksmith also sells large and small titanite shards. Of course, you will still need a slab to get to +15 but then getting all weapons to +14 is a lot easier at least. I havn't gotten to the kiln yet so I can't attest if that is faster. This method is so fast I can try out alot of diff weapons I like at higher levels then +15 the favs in the future.

To the OP- All the time, and it's the main reason why I've yet to complete this soddin game!
