Kirk, Knight of Thorns, not invading

I am human and have not killed the Gaping Dragon. But I did ring the second bell in Blightown via the master key. Will Kirk no longer invade my world in the Depths? Does that inhibit my chances of getting his loot?

Shouldn't matter.

He'll still invade. All that matters is whether the boss is alive or not.

That's what I thought, but I've been wandering around in the depths near where the Basiliks are for an hour, and I haven't been invaded. Am I in the wrong place?

Are you human, by which I mean, have you reversed your hollowing?

Yes. Actually, I was just invaded by a PC and killed for the sin of typing while in game, lol.

Are you walking around in the area where Kirk invades? The area leading to the Blighttown double-doors.

You have to either enter or exit the area through the stairs for him to spawn, he won't do it if you fell down and are just wandering around

His trigger-point should be at the bottom of the big waterfall, close to the first frog.

I did the same. He never spawned for me so i had to go to NG+ to get him.

I have spent a lot of time at the base of the waterfall near the first basilik, perhaps ringing the bell changes the area? The merchant who sells the crystal weapons and curse resistant armor is gone as well . . .

It sounds like ringing the bell early has caused this for others as well?

Just try walking through every place possible in the Depths. You should be able to see the bastard invade eventually. Also, if you don't see Domhnall of Zena, then he must have moved to area below the aqueduct that is located near the Firelink Shrine.
