Expecting the hollow repeater to fire at anything that comes around the corner, i attempt kicking the soldier back into the repeaters sight, hoping i can trick him into shooting his own companion.

I fight the demon so little, i forgot there was bowman there.

I peek around the wall and check the repeater's reload time.

(Oh btw, you forgot to reduce the amount of coins i think. First it was 60, then we spend 20 on the undead merchant so now it should be 40.)

I quickly come around the corner with my shield raised and try to close as much of the gap as i can before the repeater is done reloading, hoping that this shield will be more exploding-arrow-resistant than the plank shield. oops, Mr Ducreux was first

You peek around the corner and see that the repeater has just finished reloading his crossbow. He aims it at your head, but you duck back around the corner before he can let it loose...

I grab one coin and toss it at the bridge, hoping the repeater hears it and fires in the coin's direction.

Lemme point out, generally reloading takes 1 turn.

You toss the coin into the entranceway, and you're shocked to see it sniped before it touches the ground. The shrapnel hits you causing minor lacerations (12), and you find that despite how stupid it obviously is, you have to admire, and fear, it's accuracy.

I huddle in a corner and start to cry. That accurcy is, well, demonic. After getting up, I run towards repeater, talisman in hand to cast a force should the repeater finish reloading before I get to him.

^^good work. *thinking quickly to himself* Can I vote we use a black sprite, rest at the bonfire, reverse hollow and find a soul sign?

Note that we are stuck in the bonfire room. We can't get summon signs while in the bonfire room.

Noted. But if we reverse hollow we can see them in front of the bridge no? If there are any other adventurers around to summon of course... As we havent killed anything since we last died nothing will respawn.. am I right?

The repeater would nail us before the summon would be complete, and then we'd be hollow and wasted a sprite.

@Halicarnassis have a look at the very first post of this thread, summoning signs work differently here.
Also rolls aren't reliable unless you have high stamina and certain items. With our current stats trying to roll will have a 45% change of succeeding i believe. Since the repeater can one-shot us, that's not a good idea.

Back to the task at hand however I dont think our "dungeon master" has posted since the hollowed soldier wasted a bolt. Can we go with the rushing of the soldier then?

I do believe I posted the action of charging the repeater with talisman in hand to cast a force in defense should the repeater fire a bolt before we get to him.

You charge at the repeater, talisman in hand in case he finishes relooading. He finishes reloading, but you slam your axe into him before he can take aim. A hollow soldier in the courtyard notices your actions and starts to run towards you. He is already clear of the trap.

The crossbow disintegrates most tragically, but there is still 3 Wrathful Bolts to pick up if you chose to do such
