This concerns me, as one of the key aspects of the game was that you have to choose to be very careful in the game and you were punished for taking overly long trips outside your immediate area. If you can just warp there is no more danger in traveling! It made sense in the second half of Dark Souls, but not so much now that we're starting from the beginning of the game with it, not unless there is a truly massive world, at least double the size of Dark Souls.
It's obviously for the bonfires you already visited. There's no way you'll sit at your first bonfire and get the full list of locations right from the start.
I would prefer if they took warping out completely, but since they are using warping they sould work it in the same way they did with DkS1 by using lore to add that ability at some point after the half-way mark.
