WHERE MY WARRIORS AT???

Soooo Ive got a big thing coming up this week, training hard for it, stoked about it. Got that Viking blood thing goin on for me, die fighting, go to Valhalla etcetc.

Didnt post this to boast about anything, I wanna hear why YOU are a Warrior, what do you do that makes you a real warrior? Military? Martial Arts? Do you train for THAT day? WHERE ARE MY WARRIORS AT????

I currently am learning Iaidojutsu and Tameshigiri but also I attend weekly games of airsoft and training sessions.... which really doesnt amount to anything in reality but the guys who teach us are ex NZ army and current Reserve personnel.

I know Jiu-Jitsu, Krav Maga and Sambo - I am extremely accurate with a bow, Throwing knives I am average at, the katana is a rather hard weapon to master so I am pretty intermediate with that. The longsword, rapier and bo staff are my favorite weapons. I suppose I am pretty well trained to protect myself

Training is training! It translates to real world combat, just the experience of a battlefield prepares you. Instincts, mental control, its all preparation. Its better than most, and just getting out there and mixing it up voluntarily shows the warrior spirit! Martial arts too, +1 for my first warrior!

Weve talked about this before, youve got alot of melee weapon training that very few have! Awesome stuff! Ive done some similar but for obvious reason the firearm arts are more applicable to my profession.

Yeah that makes sense mr dealer ser.....

I do have some reasonable skill i firearms accuracy having done target shooting with small calibre rifles and also happen to be my teams point man for airsoft.... means I get shot more but Im always right up there in the middle ground where the action is

i have been pro wrestling in the indies up here for about two years and started training at team irish this year to have a career in mma and will have my first amateur fight in 2 months

Ill be honest depending on how the rest of the team does I might actually live through whatever scenario we attempt.

That a boy! What disciplines you study? I did some golden gloves western style boxin way back when, some amatuer kickboxing after, wrestlers usually make the best mma guys tho!

Rooster - I love my bow haha, I prefer archery than using a firearm - I am actually more accurate with a bow, hence more lethal. Bows are actually rather easy to use, they just require good upper body strength and hand-eye coordination.

i wrestled all through high school and middle school and am learning to stand in fight right now plus i have used some pro wrestling moves while training that i plan to use as well

Ive used a compound bow, can be real accurate in the right hands!

I used to suck at archery when chch had a range... I wonder if I would be anybetter now that I actually started working out. (Hence the reason I prefer firearms)

My favorite style of bows are recurve - however compounds always are easier to fire haha.

@son, Thai boxing and kickboxing! Love thai fighting lol, elbows and knees! Usually natural wrestlers are better with that sort of thing than learning regular boxing etc. Study some judo if you get a chance too, wieght displacemnt should feel natural to you and be easy to learn! Btw, train cardio, most amatuer fighters burn out quick...

God I couldnt stand melee combat... can't focus quickly enough... the pain of needing glasses and contacts......

Lol, funny, I use iron sights on my assault rifle, because my eye sight sucks....makes no sense, should be other way around, but Im better with iron sights for some reasin. I outshoot everyone on my team that way so they wont let me get acog or red dots lol.

I love melee combat - keep a clear mind and you will find victory. Show restraint though.

I know and that was more than enough.... I just cant believe you caused those quakes!

And you didnt even use your fists!

But aye - I prefer traditional recurve to modern. Hunnic is also a rather nice bow to handle.
