what would you class this as and what are your thoughts ?

im setting out to make a build thats perhaps worthy of pvp at some point and suits my play style and appeals to me. the stats will look like this :

SL:125 (reccomended pvp level)
vitality 40
endurance 35
strength 30
attunement 16
dexterity 30
resistance standard
intelligence 32
faith 20

my weapons of choice will include, greatsword of artorias, moonlight greatsword as main weapons and then perhaps a greatshield or silver knight shield. as well as im going to experiment with pricilas dagger,the darksword and velkas rapier.

thoughts and tips ? id quite like to fit some sorcery into this build too as well as some miracles too

Streamline, you're trying to do way too much with one character.

what should i change do you think ?

with those stats every class will be on SL 132,

and try to focus in 2 stats only, the 125 sl doesnt open spaces for a "jack-of-all trades" build, you wont do enough damage with any path you try to take and elemental weapons are not exactly recommended at this SL :|

545 split damage for a greatsword isnt very good for pvp

Normally people only focus on a few things.

Example builds:

Really high Vit/End, minimum str/dex to use the weapons you want, and make them elemental. Some ATT and pyromancy.

High Vit/End/Dex, some faith (30) for Wrath of Gods. Dex increases casting time.

High Dex/Int, rest into end/vit. Spell user, can also use moonlight great sword.

Basically... you want to do a couple of things, but do them really well. If you want to use the moonlight GS, then only get the minimum str required. That saves you 14 points you can put into INT that will increase spells and damage.

Don't put any into faith, and with the points, use them on VIT/END/INT.

The Greatsword of Artorias is only good apparently when you're SL is what, 200? 300? Really high.

yes, but you need 4 more points in strenght to use that shield

I know is off topic, but a really easy build very usefull for pvp is the famous 45/40/40/40 setup

With a Double C scalling weapon like the claymore you can do alot of damage in pvp

both your "weapons of choice" have the same move set, and are both super under powered with those stats.

i think ill have to use this as a pve build, then use something else as a pve then, thanks for the advice guys, also whats a good armour set im having trouble finding a good solid set as of yet, for pve i use full black knight +5 and greatshield of A and black knight halberd +5

Depends on how much poise you want, try aways to keep it above 53 or 76

What are your current stats?

If you're very new, I would recommend going str/dex build. Lets you experiment with a ton of weapons. Many times builds are centered around a weapon; they determine how much weight you have for armour.

So first time through the game: str/dex. Next time: maybe a dex/faith or dex/int or a High faith/vit/end and just use Divine weapons and magic like a holy knight or something.

I really like that build, I'm using a slight variation with a bit more Endurance and less Vit so I can fast roll without the DWGR. This build goes really well with the washing pole and the Murakumo, as well as any C/C weapon, as was said. +15 Claymore is an excellent weapon at this level, though not exactly an original choice. I'd say it's better than the GLGS because of its moveset, not to mention being buffable. I'm a fan of the Darksword as well, it might not be as good as other straight swords but it's so cool it deserves to be wielded in PvP.

im not new to this game ive put maybe 150 hours into it and completeed it maybe 3 times nothing major i juts dont really know pvp

PvP's diferent from PvE, but not to a huge extent. Just grab a weapon and try to kill your opponent, and as far as honor goes, don't do anything you wouldn't want done to you. You'll learn what's effective or not through experience. You can also set up duels with forum members to try and learn the ins and outs, fighting with unupgraded weapons to draw out the duels. Just ask if you want some fighting experience, I'd be happy to help you learn.

thanks alot for the offer and i would take you up on that offer but i wont have internet connection for a while as soon as i do ill be glad to accept the offer though

To damage seath you have to destroy the crystal.

50str/30dex is more than enough to damage / kill bosses. Get a +15 regular weapon, buff with Golden pine resin.

Endurance could be cranked up to 40 (should be), vitality would be nice to have at 40 as well, faith was wasted points, resistance is wasted points. If you had dumped faith/resistance into VIT it'd be a pretty good build to start PvP.

i know about the crystal ¬¬ also when i first started with this char i didnt know anything so i put a couple into resistance not knowing its useless and also faith was required to use astoras straight sword ( my starting weapon

Yeah I know, I'm just sayin it's not that far off from a viable build, maybe 15 levels off.

I have three builds like this. I would definetly try a quality build like this to get a better idea of what you want out of a PVP build

Try a chaos or a lightning weapon trhough all the dukes archieves, you'll be amazed by the damage
