effing masks

Masks are so awful looking if I don't use mom I feel I've handicapped
my build but if I do use it it looks like a ****ing ***k!

feeling like a badass playing a character that looks cool is more beneficial then 200 more HP points feeling like ugly regect

My favorite part is where you get a host in full giants with mom mask + phantoms to flask multiple times while you do not heal at all.

You off the phantoms and a fished backstab from the host ends you

Host then proceeds to spam gestures as if you did not kill all 3 of the losers 5 times over before he finally lagged a hornet backstab in. pathetic.

Mom mask I am not totally against, but I find for my builds, high vit with fap ring is more than enough hp for me. No need to look like a housewife lol

I know one headwear that I always take over the masks, never even crosses my mind to wear them.

I like to wear mask so when I taunt a back stab fishers dead body it pains him even more that he just got owned

I never wear masks, as I hail from the "Enter the Dragon" school of thought on DkS outfits:

Han: We are all ready to win, just as we are born knowing only life. It is defeat that you must learn to prepare for.

Masks are great; they let me know the person I'm fighting is a turd and will most likely resort to lame tactics. They look awful, too.

i like when i beat people horribly and they blame my mask for their loss.

relax, it's a helmet in a particularly unbalanced game.
because some ganker started healing doesn't mean every user sharing his armor and mask is a ganker.

that's like me assuming everyone not wearing optimal gear is a whiny b***. its insane to brush everyone like that.

I used to hate masks, but now I've grown kind of indifferent to them, probably cause I've seen them SO *** MUCH!

It's too bad that masks have been associated with ganking. I wear a mask all the time. Two reasons for choosing armor are looks and functionality. I lead toward the functionality side.

The difference is after fighting you that time I hated the rapier more than the mask

I wish they'd nerfed the masks along with the DWGR. Especially MOTM.

what do you mean explain.. the mom mask was great because that chunk of hp you got was matched with high defenses.

without the defenses you just have big numbers for both the damage you take and your hp.

now.. having a mask of the father on and less hp is actually more beneficial than having weaker armor and a moms mask...

i kind of prefer more hp/defense as it made the fights longer but whatever..

You're aware that the most ho mom can add is like 350 hp. Thats at 99 vit, with fap ring. Thats 2 hits man, not a big deal. At more normal vit levels (ie 50) it adds 220. 1 hit from most weapons, 2 tops. The fap/mom combo is where it gets nuts, but the fap is the bigger part of that.

yeah i'm aware of that.. i have no idea why everyone hates the mom mask, it really isn't that big of a deal.

if anything replenishment is a bigger problem as it gives 600 hp over a minute, if you have a high defense that's even more hp than the moms mask...

i fought a guy with sanctus and replen on.. he had stacked his defenses, had a zwei and i can tell you right now he was a harder kill than any mom mask user.

Oh, i was directing my exasperated explination at pendant and bro.

I like the hp regen, with some of the patch sutff coming out it may well become a truly competitive way to go, its way obsolete when faced with weapon buffs.

Its really just because gankers use the family masks that they have a bad rep I don't mind the mask of the child I just hate the rest because their ugly.

Why mom is considered OP and replenishment is not (as much, apparently it is 0.o) is because MoM uses an otherwise not very useful slot whereas replenishment takes up the place where green blossoms, power within, karmic justice ,GMB ect. go you can have a MoM with those but if you go replenishment you lose out on them.
