by RANT Tue Sep 11, 2012 10:31 pmanyone up for some no poise duels with ultra weapons only? sl 99(cause of the dlc and i love sl 99, its so classy and classic) in the darkmoon tomb(since im in anor atm) me, wyrm and forum cant be the only str users? are we? yeah, that's pretty much it. also i challenge everyone to stop using their katanas and rapiers(you know you all use them) and make a str build and come and have some fun.

Damn, when I'm at DkS break. I have an SL 99 Smough's Hammer build, it uses DWGR and has 21 poise though. If no DWGR I'll have to create a new one.

mura scales with dex so i dont consider it a str weapon, glgs too but thats just me. msgs will stil be awesome after the patch but i never stunlock with it anyway unless im getting gangbanged.

Dex weapon IMO does more damage on a 40 dex build than a 40 str build.

I never understood the whole problem with stunlocking. Maybe its that I played demons and already knew how to toggle out but I've never had a problem with escaping stuns.
The way I see str weapons is ultra great swords (i know the zwih and greatsword scale with dex too) great hammers, and great axes, though I often term these weapons ug or ultra great weapons to avoid confusion. The msgs is a greatsword and so isn't subject to the same difficulties as the others, so I neglect to include it despite its str scaling.

Also the little hammers and axes. Crossbows are great Str weapons backups.

why would you do 40str and 20 dex, when 20str and 40 dex gives you more damage and faster cast times if you choose pyro?

17 could be a lot of ar when it breaks the 500 mark. for whatever reason breaking the 400, 500 or 600 ar marks with 17 ar iseems to provide a bigger damage boost than 17 ar elsewhere.
Defense also suffers from diminishing returns where AR does not, which means the more ar you have the more 1 extra point is worth.

Just made a new str build who uses DGH and GC. Im fatrolling with the DGH and use it more for pve and fastrolling with the GC for pvp.
I must say its a bit hard to get used to since i normaly use velka´s rapier and that thing is so fast compared to these weapons. Though i got a parry last night with the DGH and it just was a one shot kill and im not even using hornets lol.
Would love to have a bit of fun fights with you guys but im on fricking xbox.. xD.
