i tried to get as much poise as i could, but i cant seem to get any more. any armor suggestions? the large/great clubs are so OP, i never realized it before till i actually sat down to make a strength build.. they weigh the least and have some of the top damage, and best range.

Hmmmm, sounds interesting, I'm surprised that there's barely any love for the Black Knight Greatsword. Its probably the most underrated black knight weapon among PvP, It is the second strongest out of all of them, the first being the Black Knight Greataxe. I never paid attention to the Black Knight Halberd's AR so maybe I am wrong.

The build is solid, but I have to say the greataxe kinda blows. Its has some phantom range, but the demon great axe is longer and stronger.
http://tinyurl.com/9fsytzl is probably the way I would go, but if you have a build that can use both I'd try them out there before building around either. You might like the greataxe better after all.
If you want to midroll (not a bad idea) then you can get better defense and poise.

What about the Dragon King Greataxe? Its two handed strong attack looks intimidating, or perhaps you don't want to spend points on Strength?

i like the Great axe simply for looks and the fact you never see it. and i actually got raped by one the other day when i missed a set up parry because i don't know the parry times of it. the R2 swings are actually super nice to its basically a horizontal R1 that does 2x the damage, swings just as fast.

I've lost to most weapons. I might be biased though, I was expecting the des greataxe when I first got it, and it was such a huge let down.

i actually licke the GA and DGA the same, DGA of course has more phantom range than the GA but people always misjudge it and end up getting hit and most of the time stunlocked, specialy if theyre fishing.

I prefer the GA, simply because the DGA weighs twice more.

the range of the DGA is almost worth it the extra weight but i like the look of the GA better.

I don't like either (though I haven't used them extensively), but I can actually land hits with the dga, the greataxe just gets me roll bsd.
I'll take the dgm or large club any day.
They clubs are only "easy mode" if the opponent doesn't know how to deal with them though, a good opponent is more than capable of punishing the clubs, roll r1 included.

i just think they are easy mode because of how light and how much damage they do.

I can't change your mind for you, obviously, but I can say its less easy mode and more that they weigh less to compensate for having a genrally crap moveset. Without the roll r2s their almost completely useless, so they need to stay lightish to make good use of it.

isnt the large clubs move set really sweet? i always get owned by some lunging jump attack that seems to cover 1 mile distance and a football field in width.

Its jusst begging to be bsd. The regular attacks and jump attack can work if your opponent isn't smart/experienced enough to stay close but otherwise its suicidal.

The 1h r2 catches a few people out, but once they've seen it, they wait, then punish it.
