Invaders invading twice in a row

I was in Anor Londo, with a Sunbro, we were in front of a large gate that i assume leads to ornstein and smough. after beating the sentinels, a darkwraith invaded me. Ordinary pvp stuff until he rolled into the bat-like demons carrying spears and started using humanity to recover. My Sunbro, started doing so as well, got BS'ed but didnt die, and there I was, the small frail weak SL50 player "master of the world" dealing 70 damage with my lightning spear+0, not even scratching his life bar, but he does retreat. Obviously i tried to assert my dominance but got killed. Again, the second time around, the same conditions and it was him again!

Why? why am i being paired with someone obviously stronger than i am? Are there no others moving through this Anor Londo? Are there no better candidates? or is this how the system works?

The longer you're there, the more people you're connected to, the more likely you are to meet someone new. Getting the same guy a few times in a row isn't uncommon on either end.

Chances are that he's around the same sl as you but the system doesn't consider gear though, so get good gear ASAP.

I'd suggest not to post the names of other players. And sometimes that's just the way things fall. He probably attempted to invade again just after you were able to be invaded again. I invade the same person 5 times in a row sometimes - it all depends.

he is stronger then you because of armor/gear not Soul level. in fact his Soul level is less the yours.

and the system works by him invading people with a higher Soul Level, trying to pair him with people close to his own.

Please don't specifically name players' gamertags or psn id's. It helps prevent slander.

pretty much what everyone else said and NEVER chase an invaded, theyre luring you to mobs and you wil get killed, just wait for them to get back since they will get impatient.

I usually do but not when my gear sucks. he had s lightning spear which is nto a good weapons to fight the mobs and an invader.

Always have equipped an online play item, like WSS and as soon as it gets dark, which is a sign of incoming invasion and you don't want to PvP, for any reason, quit to title screen.
Problem solved.

If it does happen, or you can't/don't want to quit, summon help and let summons take care of the invader. Try not to engage the invader unless absolutely nescesary.

If the invader runs, or you can't find each other, just ignore the guy and go for the boss. He's probably hiding and waiting to ambush you.

Look behind your back often and aproach corners and places that can be used to ambush you with caution. If you find him, gank him with your phantoms, but try to keep back, because you're the one he's after and if you die, your phantoms die as well.

If the invader runs away, ignore him and continue to boss. If your phantoms chase him, consider them dead and continue to boss alone. If you see that invader died, wait for phantoms to catch up with you, if you see a sign that they died, challeneg boss alone.
Your chances against bosses are better than against player with superior gear.

Invasions are random, but when you're in an area you get connected to certain players--meaning once they've invaded you, they can invade again. And invaders (if they're anything like me!) will stay in the same place for hours. Once you've been invaded, there's a time window before you can be invaded again, but since the invader is probably till trying to invade in that spot, it's not unlikely that he'll invade you again. I often invade the same person multiple times during a few hours of invasions (if they're weak, I crystal out the second time... after killing their phantoms! )

If you don't want to get invaded by the same person, you can try:

- Quit and reload your game. This will disconnect you from the other player, and he might not connect with you again. Someone else will, though!

- Block him. He won't be able to invade you anymore--but someone else will!

Neither of those solutions prevents you from being invaded at all, but they'll prevent you from being invaded repeatedly by someone you especially don't want to get invaded by again. Obviously, don't do this every time you get invaded! But if one invader is particularly bad (extremely laggy, for example), you can do this. Also (a bit like Sentiel said), keep homeward bones in your item quick-slot. When they go gray, meaning you can't use them, it's because you're being invaded. Don't necessarily quit game when it goes gray (and you can't quit if you have phantoms anyways), but at least you'll have an advance warning that you're being invaded, extra time to prepare.

Blocking someone does not completely stop the same person from invading me, but it sure helps. Might work differently on PS3, though.
