Nah dont close it. Its your place to state what you feel about the series. Others will comment and disagree but thats thier opinion. Im glad you can all have those heated discussions about such a great series and its new and old director without taking it over the line.

I just find that it sometimes is good to realise that most of the time people wont change thier opinions no matter what you say. That way I dont get too angry if I feel that a point I made is being missed.

Yes. Prior to DS2, he has only worked on a couple of PS2-era mech games. All the people thinking he has worked on MH are confusing two different Shibuyas.

Thanks for the link! It confirms that everyone was wrong when they assumed that the Shibuya was the MH Shibuya rather than the ACE Shibuya.

I think this thread has kinda gone its course.. Not much to say really

I think the games had an important theme that the original director was mostly responsible for and was able to achieve with the help of his team.

I wish the formula that took place in the past 2 games would remain the same, however things must progress and hopefully progress to the new director doesnt mean generic game play.

I'm still convinced that one of the reasons the new directors got the job to work on DS2 is because they're yes-men to Namco's will.

I agree, and important thing is that new director is not Monster Hunter Shibuya, as my friend Coma pointed out, but ACE Shibuya, and that's something more completely different...as - bad different...

I totaly agree with the one that said that all this decisions are made by Namco, they are only a damn publisher why are so influent?

When i watched the Making off, the guys who explain all the work that have been done refered to Miyazaki like the "Dark Souls Man", you simply can't replace the creator.

Yes. A series shouldn't remain stagnant; I don't want to pay 60 bucks for Dark Souls 1.5. Miyazaki's pretty much admitted that as far as big ideas go, he's tapped out.

So, it may sound cold or callous, but I don't care if they're taking his baby away from him (which, from every interview, it doesn't really sound like they are), as long as there's some movement in the series.
