DeS Event coming Jan 8th

I just read this on Game Informer

"To celebrate the game going digital, a Pure White World Tendency event
will be held from January 8th to 14th. This event offers lesser
difficulty and opens up features that are only available in the Pure
White state."

I wonder what it will be

Also the full game will now be available for $19.99 (I assume that US dollars) on PSN from January 8th

Man I wish this was Pure Black instead. I would totally start a new character and play through in Pure Black.

Man I wish this was Pure Black instead. I would totally start a new character and play through in Pure Black.

The new stuff that we can only access in pure white world between the 8th and the 14th
What the hell did you think I was talking about??

Lesser difficulty and guaranteed Pure White events seems to me like they're just going to guarantee Pure White World Tendency for everyone who plays online for a while. I doubt we're going to get any truly new stuff, it'll just be a way to ease new buyers into the experience.

So many years late...
But are they doing anything other than releasing it digital? Like any sweet PSN loot? Like themes etc.

I cant make any promises and a lot of info probably hasnt shown up yet given that I made this post within 5 minutes of the info showing up on GI

Sony actually owns the Demon's Souls IP. It's the reason we got Dark Souls instead of Demon's Souls 2, but in this case it might be a good thing, since the PSN is Sony's network. Chances are if it's on PSN, it'll be there for everyone since Sony can do whatever they want with it...

I know they do, but am still cautious.
One of the main reasons I shifted my focus to PC was because of the lack of great exclusive games getting released in Europe by Sony, they always favour the US market despite making more profit in Europe.
It still baffles me.
And then there's Bamco with the terrible collectors editions and no events...

Ok I had a look through the PSblog post that the info on GI came from and while not finding much new it did say that this event will "slightly reduce the difficulty of the game and open up a few things that can only be accessed in the Pure White state."

But what difference does it makes that Sony focus on the US market?
Just import the US games or in this case buy the game from the US PSN store.

Edit: Well it`s Official now that we get it in EU store January 23.
But it doesnt say if we get the PWWT events,,
