    Yeah, but a lot of people might not~ And they might not actually know that all those NPCs are immortal. I'd hate to see them waste a lot of time trying to kill those particular NPCs~ (That's a complete lie, I'd love it. Hilarity at its finest~)


    But in all seriousness, you know what I learned recently? If you know what you're doing, the shield is a perfectly viable weapon.

    If you get hit by the sludge from the sludge-ball things in New Londo Ruins, your Estus recovery is reduced (halved?). Reminded me of DeS poison.

    Looking at that hacked character alone was painful (4 Kings sword?) but it was interesting how the serpents had death animations. I'm not sure that means they were once killable, but perhaps rather reflects the certainty that if something is in the game, someone will eventually try to kill it.

    Not only do they have an animation, they even have some final words to tell. That points towards that they were considered hurtable once. Maybe that was overruled because of possible game-breaking effects...?

    Those death animations are present in the debug mode video.
    The final words are the same ones they say when you attack them, only they seem to repeat them over and over.

    Everlasting could be for Lore reasons.

    I think I found a new death animation from taking a spear to the head. Take a step back, arms slightly spread out, walk one step forward, fall on knees then the rest falls. First time I ever seen that.

    I was recently smacked off the edge near Blightown's back door (nearest fat guy to the key) due to some bad timing, and slid all the way down to the swamp without hitting any kill zone boxes. I died horribly from the impact though, but still entertaining to think if I had enough health and fall control I might've survived.

    If I remember right, Fall Damage is percentage based, so a "Fatal" fall will be fatal no matter the height T_T And Fall Control only negates damage from a fall you would've survived, it doesn't increase that distance.

    But if you had FC on and brushed up against enough things on the way down, making it think you "Landed" briefly, then it might be possible to slide all the way down... Someone should see if there's a spot you can do it lol!

    The amount of equipment weight you have also determines the fall damage .
    The Heavier you are the more Damage you take .
    But i don't think it can make a non-lethal fall lethal

    ^ Once I casted fall control and droped to Vamos's workshop. I skiped the stairs, both ledges, and went straight down the hole. I died. lol!

    Well, the camera stayed with me all the way down and I only died when I hit the floor with a horrific splat, whereas in other places I seem to die in midair and the camera stays up high.

    I also never realised how nasty the dying scream is from falling. Normally you don't hear it due to the dramatic dying sound, but I heard it fairly clearly here...
