I understand that CoD is repetitive. I understand that it's full of little sh*t-for-brains 9 year old kids that are screaming and swearing worse than a sailor during a hurricane.
Is that enough, though, to warrant the hate? I'd gladly drop money for newer CoD installments, if I had any money. The gameplay is tight, furious, and straight up satisfying when you play a game not full of campers and little 9 year old buggers.
My main complaint is that since the gameplay is, in my opinion, as good as it gets for that genre, they should just release constant DLC instead of new reiterations of various games. Take the Modern Warfare games. Set in roughly the same time-period, so just dlc adding new campaigns and multiplayer stuff seems appropriate.
In the case of Black Ops, the time change in the setting, in my opinion, warranted the new game. Also, I love the new class system. I just wish I had the money...
Thoughts?
