Average KDR in shooters

I actually like when the game makes the skill gap visible and noticable.
Hence why I like Halo, well, used to and why I like Souls games.

I hate to lose only because of some numbers, levels, whatever, which is a typical case of every MMORPG and recent shooter games.

I don't care that there's some kid with level 50, with golden AK-47 that is more powerful, more precise and has attachments and upgrades that just make it impossible for me to win in a fair fight, because I don't have any of those.
Replace the AK-47 with some Super Rare LeveL 85 Greatsword of Unholy Apocalypse +5 for MMORPGs.

Gaming mouses have a better DPI and so quicker aiming, most allow you to change DPI, lower dpi is handy for sniping. I get what you say about the flat mice, i go with logitech g series, adjustable weight sounds daft but it's handy, they also have a buttload of buttons which are very handy. I usually have, use, grenade, crouch, prone, melee, reload all mapped to the mouse along with the usuals.

High DPI takes some getting used to but the milliseconds saved is the difference between life and death. It's an absolute life saver on tanks in BF3.

But it kills in 2-4 bullets anyways. if the RoF is the same, whomever has shoots first wins. Even if they kill in 3 instead of 4 (the AK isn't getting 2 headshots in a row) if there is more than like a 1/3rd of a second delay you still win. they're uber gun really isn't uber.

That's why I mentioned the fair fight part, which implies a standard western shootout.

I use the M16, so maybe thats just not an issue for me (1 well aimed trigger pull is always fatal excepting sniper type distances)

I just always hate in shooters these days how if you're sniping, you're supposed to go for headshots.

Military snipers are trained to mostly go for the torso, the heart/lungs. Only in specific conditions are snipers trained to go for headshots. And that's mostly for members of SWAT, not the military.

"Well they're both killshots, but obviously going for the smaller more likely to move target is the way to go!" I just hate the mentality of focusing on headshots unless it is a really gamey-game. Halo I get, Team Fortress 2 I get. CoD? Isn't it trying to be realistic?

I think CoD stopped being realistic along time ago, like after MW2.

In my Opinion, COD1 was the best COD game, and it went downhill after that.

I'll always love Big Red One more than any of the other CoD's.

It's one of the few FPS games I still have for my gamecube.

Max out the engineer class and you can pick it anytime. Same goes for m16/AK, m27ar/rpk dunno about sniper, dirty class.

It works for all classes.There is also a rank requirement for unlocking the M9 and MP443 for both sides.I never got how people are Colonel 100,I put around 230 hours into multiplayer and I'm like Colonel 26 or something.

I'd be inclined to think so when I'm taking their dogtags.You would have to play a LOT to get that high and now there's at least one in every lobby.
