No matter how well trained the soldier, they didn't often win 1v1s against jedi unless they were trained specificly to fight jedi, or the jedi was primarily a diplomat and so knows little of saber combat outside shi-cho, an anti blaster form.

Sith had squads of 4 non force users trained to kill jedi and even then they quite often lost 1 or more members.

The whole "seeing the future/reading minds thing" wrecks that theory. You'd have to successfully guard your mind, and even then why would a jedi use a force technique like throw against a non jedi in melee combat, where the jedi has a huge advantage in straight melee?

The best way to kill jedi (and live) is to avoid fighting all together. You probably won't survive the fight, so you gas them or snipe them or shoot them in the back while someone else fights them, all of this is greatly aided by "playing pazzack"

Jedi don't read minds and seeing the future is a rare thing only possible in dreams or meditation. The only thing one can do is influence your mind and daze you.All force powers require a moment or two out of combat due to the immense concentration needed to actually affect the world.Taking some of the more rediculous moments out of Star Wars where Jedi are pretty much invincible,it's perfectly possible to shoot one in the face while they pause to use a force power.
I think we need a Star Wars argument thread so we can stop ruining this one.Making one now, feel free to continue this debate there.
