If she can't make time for a friend before she moves out of town, then it doesn't sound like she values you as a friend as much as you value her. Have you communicated any of this to her? I've noticed that a lot of problems could be solved with some communication.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
Everyone's been getting good advice in here but I did want to interject that many ants don't like cinnamon.
Not that you want to coat your house with it but if you can find where they're coming in, you can make a little pile of cinnamon to block it. It doesn't work long (they adapt) but it might give you some peace until you find a better poison.
True story: I tested this by finding an ant and making a cinnamon circle arena around it. It refused to leave and seemed horribly confused.

Then I think Bunny either moved or introduced some ants into a new area.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
The ants I have are the really small brown ones. We have these huge black ones outside, but I've never noticed them come inside. Rifter seems fascinated with them, but I think I'd have to burn my apartment down if those things ever got inside.
Is cinnamon safe for cats though? I'm worried that Mallow will eat it. I'm also not really sure where they are coming from. I just find them in random places. I found some on the bathroom sink and in the linen closet last night. There's no food for them there though, so I'm not sure why they were there in the first place.

They want your panties haha
Also to the guy with the gorilla picture, you need to tell people when they don't get the hint. Not everyone's psychic or reading your signs.
I thought I was over smoking but it snuck up on me again. Had a cig after 3 months twice in a week and quit again. Any advice?

Re: The "let it out" thread.
Rifter you gotta remember that addiction to anything is a cycle- even smoking. The fact is relapses are normal. The important thing when you do relapse is a) you don't make a habit of it and b) try to quit as soon as you can again.
Often relapses are timed with events in life- stress at work, a break up, illness etc. If you need to keep smoking for a week or so to help you through it, just try to keep it to a minimum- that way not only will you be less likely to get addicted again, but the relief from the smoke will be greater. Then as soon as that short event in your life is over, get yourself off smoking again as soon as you can.
Just keep in mind there is rarely any absolute sobriety from something you've been addicted to before. All you can do is try to not allow yourself to become addicted and reliant on it when you do on occasion return to smoking.

You could also smoke like silly for a week then you'll, invariably, get nauseous and you won't want to touch the stuff for a long time.
You'll get sick just being around the smell.

I guess the best thing you can do is figure out what makes you want to smoke and find other ways to cope with that. If it's stress or alcohol or whatever that triggers you to smoke, maybe find something else you can do to cope with it.

I never really planned to live past age 20, and without any money for college or any real way to work, I find myself just struggling to even wake up some days. I kind of feel like I'm already dead, and I'm just waiting for my body to catch up with me.

Have you tried social assistance, Tolvo? You may be eligible and they would not only help you get on your feet, but provide you with the tools you'll need to get work. There are also student loans that you can apply to. Don't give up!

Take the time to write a novel. You seem to enjoy it, see if you can get started with something.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
I don't really trust any form of therapist after having bad experiences with them as a child. One told me that he would never tell my parents the things I felt, so I opened up to him. He told my parents about my depression and suicidal thoughts, so I was grounded for six months and screamed at often for feeling negative(My parents don't allow us to show negative emotions), my other therapist found out I was afraid of strange dogs(I was very young) so he ordered his dog to chase me and I ended up crying and fainting in fear at his office. I just can't really get those memories out of my head.
I do have a story I'm working on that is a parody of fantasy, but it's just hard to get motivated.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
Yeah.. When you're a kid they're obviously gonna tell your parents everything as you can't make your own judgements. I get those instances were bad, but as an adult you have to consent to everything they do- noone else can make you. I'd say try it again, because honestly now you can decide the treatment for yourself and not give a *** about parents finding out then it should be better, honestly/
Motivation you can find in looking at things similar to what you're working on, or in fact what you are parodying. Go watch and read some fantasy and if you get struck with ideas then the motivation will come with it

Re: The "let it out" thread.
I went to therapy as a child and again as an adult recently. I second what Serious said. It's a lot different when you're an adult and can make your own calls. You guide the sessions and you set the goal for therapy. A good therapist should be accommodating. If you aren't compatible or satisfied with your therapist, you can always ask for a different one. From the looks of it, I think you may just need to figure out what you want in life though. What do you want for the future? What do you think will make you happy? What makes you happy now? I think it's good for everybody to ask themselves this once in a while.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
Allow me to let out my irritation with another member of this forum.
I was in the chat when it happened. It was really ignorant what he said. But I'm now unsure if I should paste the chat onto this thread. I just want him to be more respectful of other peoples likes and opinions on things.
That is all.
I've still got the chat log. I think.

Re: The "let it out" thread.
Rather than air it publicly you can pm a chat mod. I know some of us (me for sure) haven't been on much at all for various reasons but if I'm on I'll always try to help. It's easy too with a chat log or screen capture

Re: The "let it out" thread.
I agree with skare. Don't go into details in an open forum. That really won't solve anything. If you are concerned, pm a chatmod with the details. Or, if you feel comfortable, try to work it out via PM with that person.

Tolvo your life still has meaning since you have a 0.000000001% chance of getting superpowers!
Don't worry that moment will come.
Anyways I just wanna say that sometimes I hate my parents because of they always accept stereotypes: They say that boys should always play sports like football and cricket and that girls are not allowed to play boy games but must instead spend all their time working and cleaning instead of playing. My parents also force me to play a srilankan game called Caram which is really boring to me, but if I don't play it daily I get slapped hard. My parents also believe highly in Hindu Gods while I do not, they also scolded me once for making a joke about Krishna so now I don't know when to tell them that I wanna be Atheist.
