    Magic spammer:
I usually backstab, or roll and r1 spam. I was fighting someone in the forest today that was just blasting soul spear/black magic/soulmass, and I was getting wasted. I had to act fast and backstabbed. Did not feel bad about it at all happy

3(2)v.1: Backstab once again, or try to parry. Usually, I have poison arrows on deck so I try to poison one and hope they have no moss to cure it, and die while I run around. Always tough fighting 1v1.

I thought about it, and I really don't understand all the fuss about backstabbing in the forest. It is not a duel ground, if you want that go to the kiln or the undead burg, it is win at all cost. But that is my opinion.

If they start spamming, never feel bad for backstabbing. They both kind of need the same skill to pull off: R1 (or RB, ey )

And how I take them out depends on my build. I like to have them encounter my cleric because I keep the Magic Barrier spell on me just in case. Some people don't know what's happening and just kind of give up on trying other things. They transform into turtles. But then it's too late...

I also try to keep a Dark Hand or Crest Shield with my PVP builds. You never know!

Dodge, get behind them, backstab, steal their humanity, r2 or r1 to death depending on how much health they have, if I have to I'll do the same thing.

My worst enemy on my caster build, is an opponent that can either:

    1) Poise through a Black Flame and roll stab punish.

    2) An opponent that is ridiculously good at lock-off backstabs.

However, if you really wanna miff off a mage, Strong Magic Shield is crazy good....but you have to get used to it, and setting it up.

I play my caster lock-off. Casting Black Flame and Dark Bead locked off against a bs fisher is extremely effective. Problem is, when someone has 62 poise and I cast BF instead of DB, I'm screwed.

Depends on if they're some invading wraith or a duelist who uses magic as a primary. If it's an incompetent invader I might just bs them or put on the pressure until they make a mistake and then bs them (like trying to cast CSS at point blank range). If it's someone competent who can defend themselves against an aggressive playstyle I fight them like I would anyone else, treating their casting like any other weapon and waiting until they run out of spells to go on the offensive.

Roll until he runs out of magic and then stomp his face in.
