Good day/night fellow Exiled  

Been working on my 'Blood Reaper' build today, its coming along nicely, just need to put the final touches to leveling up equipment. HOWEVER! I am in DIRE need of training when it comes to using the scythe in combat. Any tips? I'm about to get off to bed soon, but tomorrow ill attempt to get online.

Don't get c0cky and try to stunlock, the attack's recoveries are ridiculously slow. Try to get some distance after each hit. 2handed r2 is good for punishing mistakes. And the 1handed r2 has amazing range, around 270 degrees around you, so it's amazing at dead-angleing.

Well, I definitely missed whatever fun transpired. I slept 12 damn hours and I am now (or was I guess) sick...a cold or flu or something. I feel like poop.

Not to worry Seth, I promised to get that rp done and I will.

Good to see you guys active. Good energy here! I think we need an event! Something "in" cove first will do. Working on it.

I've thought about the answers you guys and the other in my own thread gave me about my two builds.I think I will keep to chaos blade,but will try out Iaito when my character is finished and I have all the equipment and weapons I need.I think that this char will also be my RP char in the future.

Val...how long have you played the game if I may ask? I am thinking that I read 200 hrs max so far. But I read a lot of posts and sometimes get info mixed up. I ask for logistical reason's. There are members who can help you with needed gear. BUT...do not let "gifting" ruin your game experience.

It is best to earn all the game stuff yourself first...make sure to play thru untainted (so to speak) at least twice. You can actually earn Platinum in two play thrus if you are careful. Which means you will get all the stuff there is to have excluding the DLC, of course.

Then indulge in the abundant gifting that is available!

I have seriously gifted many but I was always careful with relatively new players. Getting all the game stuff to soon can, in fact, ruin your larger Dark Souls experience. Though PVP is an exciting aspect to be sure. This game is much more then just PVP. Or was for those of us who have over a 1000+ hours playing this game.

Yes,I have played Dark Souls about 200 hours.My very first playthrough went completely without having used cheats/exploits/easy mechanics to beat the game and I also didn't get any items from somebody.Well,the Caeseless Discharge fight might be an execption...I used the trick to get myself back in the corner of the backway and killed him that way.But I didn't use the "Fall down and die" glitch.

I know what you mean and understand it completely.That's why I played my first playthrough completely without gifts or exploit using.My second playthrough went nearly the same except that I got a divine claymore fully upgraded for my build.Since I like to collect things,even if I don't need them,I have collected about 80% of the ingame items myself.The other 20% are maybe things like Avelyn,forest things (I don't like forest pvp that much) and such.

But to come to the point: I've started using things like the soul level service here from the forum in order to level faster for my Artorias build and I think that I don't regret doing that since I know I've already beaten the game in a fair way and on my own.

So I don't have problems with any gifts,but I don't want to be somebody abuses people and want to get items all the time!

So, don't hesitate to ask for help. Some abuse gifting but most do not. So ask away...we are here to help our fellow Exiled!

Ok, this is sad or pathetic...don't know which. But I am cooping Sens just to help new players get thru (and yes, they are new...for the most part). But every single one has managed to get themselves killed by the environment. I have yet to get a host to the fog gate.

Vaders have NOT been the problem and have killed all of them only to have my host run blindly thru the place.!!  

Hehe...Sen's Fortress,good times!I think I died a few times to the traps as well.But I think after a few trys I managed to get through there on my own!

Maybe you will soon find a player who will get through there alive,Ahhotep.And then he will be happy to have had a summon with him.Wish you good luck!

Yay!!! Finally got one thru who didn't kill himself!! And with another summon who really knew how to team work!! That was a very enjoyable coop. So many summons "quarterback" without even thinking of the "team" and ultimately get people killed. LOL

Truly a good coop!

Congrats!Yeah,good coop is truely a fun way to play Dark Souls.I haven't had so much fun coop,some of the summons just want to rush without me.That's why I always try to do much jolly cooperation!

My opinion...TWoP is a sorry excuse for an offense, broken or not. Yeah, yeah...yadda yadda...there are counters! Apparently that is the current rationalization for feeling good about using it. Ok, sure if "they" say so...Haha!! Yeah, right!

As I said...if it is a legit game mechanic then it's cool to use whether I like it or not. Though my opinion of it may not be considered cool by TWoP users!

TWoD is for losers who only want to win at the cost of integrity...at any cost, really! It is not an in game mechanic and therefore, not legit. Pure and simple.

I have a fever and my neck glands are swollen...nice way to spend my time off!  Ok...I'll stop whining now. 'Cause it isn't making me feel better. More coops like the last will!!!

anyway sens is a nightmare when you have a noob of a host. I always take the front and parry and own my way through the level... though it's annoying when the host doesn't understand how to be quick when running through the firebomb section.. you just can't teach that stuff

Serious, that was meant to mean that if it is offered as an in game item or mechanic it is legit. Anything else "into'd" into the game by a player(s) regarding spell, weap, and armor (glitches) or hacks/mods is not legit. TwoP is a spell that is offered in the game. TWoD is not.  

Yeah, it's hard to say, "Noooo not that way", "stay in a group, run fast and follow me" etc
