I remember seeing Solaire's face through his helmet more than once, and he always had this certain kind of mustache. It wasn't a full mustache as much as it was a simple "I haven't shaved in a while, I should really get on that," type.

I don't think you can go beyond a "I havent shaved in awhile" facial hair in dark souls, all my characters have full beards as much as they can.. EVEN THE FEMALE. no... kidding. But is Siegmeyer sleeping with his eyes open?!

Solaire does have a pencil thin mustache. In the official guide from future press there is a pic of Solaire with his helmet off and you can clearly see a pencil thin red mustache. He's a red head which makes sense since he is infatuated with the sun.
