It's fun, but sometimes you just simply can't oneshot them since they're at so high level.

haha - my CSS hits 1080 through crest shield - so without blocking 2k-ish and CHSM does about 1800+ damage.

worst comes to worst in catacombs and I am found out I will run - cast fall control and chsm - backstep off of the spot and CHSM normally hits and I survive the fall - if they are wild dashin they fall off too xD

Yes, always have a place in your mind where you can escape and set up a new ambush

Sometimes the hosts panic when you surprise them, and they escape themselves. I also encourage having poison knives and dung pies with you. If your ambush failes, try to dodge attacks and poison the host. Then, when he tries to heal or cure the poison, backstab or shoot a soul spear in his face. Or just keep up the pressure and wait him to die to the poison. Has worked many times. I remember when i poisoned a host who had cast power within

Oh - I had a dude who was scary with an avelyn and GS when I missed him with my CSS - I was like oh f**k, oh f**k in the end I scared him into rolling down onto the bonewheel ledge shortcut he took 670 damage - I casted Fall control and then CHSM before I dropped down - he was flasking - I dropped down and my CHSM locked onto him as I ws going down xD
