So I fixed up all the lines on the OP so everything looks good now instead of half the things only taking up half a line.

Very interesting. So now we have crazy people and not just hollow. Makes perfect sense for those two actually.

2 interesting things. I think the crestfallen merchant has more to them. I also cant decide if he;s undead or not. Cant remember if he says anything about it.
Now look at the size of the crestfallen merchant. Now look at the size of Iron tarkus in the trailer. Now look at the size of the tower knights. Why is Tarkus, second strongest of the Berenike Knights (only weaker than Berenike himself) so much smaller that the tower knights?

Re: There's more to them
Vamos as the divine blacksmith after he went undead. . . Anyone?
His forge is actually his tomb, where when left there he began to forge as a way to pass the time to keep from going hollow. So dedicated was he that all his flesh rotted away as he worked.
His rarely talking could be due to any amount of things, being so overly dedicated to his work, or perhaps for more painful reasons to himself.
But this also lines up with the royal helm which he drops, which we know nothing about except it was Vamos', and the only real reason that the description would be intentionally vague, which we rarely see, would be if the importance of the piece was amazingly significant.

Re: There's more to them
By divine blacksmith do you mean blaacksmith deity? Because the divine blacksmith got turned to stone. And the blacksmith diety didnt turn undead he just left.

Re: There's more to them
Well as i said he doesnt turn undead just "passed" or something. yes its possible hes the blacksmith deity, in fact is very likely. However Andre is also possible. Personally I thinkm Vamos is more likely. However there is always the point to consider that not every character is in the game. Theres very little evidence relating to the blackmsith deity apart from a the demon titanite description and some pictures in anor londo.

Vamos isn't necessarily the blacksmith deity, but if you think about it:
The royal helm indicates that Vamos was once some sort of royalty, although since it is a helm, probably never a king. And what person would be a blacksmith by profession yet be part of a line of royalty? Only gods, where each god is a patron of something, would have a royal line with a blacksmith within it.
Then the size and shape of Vamos makes him look more like the "larger than life" gods, about the size of Gwyn. One a being with the vanity and power to as his beard fell out connect knuckle bones to his face to make up for it.
I think Andre is much less likely, because he is still practically human and has no reason to be a the deity, unlike Vamos who is huge, in a tomb, and has the royal helm.
Again, there is no reason for every character to appear, but it would be cool if Vamos was the deity and it doesn't not make sense.

Re: There's more to them
Actually Andre is a candidate for the God of War, so I wouldn't say it's impossible he was a deity. Vamos is of a proper size, and he is unlike all of the other skeletons in game. As well with the royal helm, and the idea of the Blacksmith deity passing it's possible. As well he may not be a divine blacksmith, as he works with fire, that doesn't rule him out per say. Is it ever stated that the Blacksmith deity worked on divine weapons exclusively? As well, there is a titanite demon very close to him, though there is also one close to Andre. It's a pickle I'll say.

Re: There's more to them
It was a mistake when I said he might be the divine blacksmith, I meant deity at that time.
And it would be possible that as he passed and became what he is now he lost his ability to work with divine weapons and other special weapons and now only works with flame. Flame is also the most godly it seems within the Dark Souls universe as it is directly correlated to the first flame, as well as he is able to work with chaos weapons.

What turned the blacksmith to stone? is it a curse associated with the embers?

Re: There's more to them
As well why are embers related to faith the only ones that are gained like that. Most others come from chests, but the Divine/Occult Embers are the only ones taken off of a corpse.

Re: There's more to them
Well if you argue that some of the embers relate to the original lords, and the others are bastardised constructs ie the chaos ember/bed of chaos, then maybe theres a pattern there?

Another thing of note is there is a lot of artwork in game related to the Embers, such door you first use a level to open up in the catacombs, the one with english letters on it. Above it looks like two embers besides something.

Also the fact that paintings depict people weeping and praying at urns/vessels...

DoughGuy.......we discussed some Shiva equipment stuff yesterday on Viral's thread. Maybe we should add that stuff. I missed the connections to Indian/Nepalese equipment the first time we talked about him.

Re: There's more to them
Ok, Here goes....Viral asked if perhaps Shiva was in B. Town for the Server, rather than the Chaos Blade. DoughGuy referenced that the text dumps were the basis for the Chaos blade idea. Both agreed that the idea made sense, if text files were ignored and discussed that the snake on the Server could be tried to betrayal ideas, biblically speaking. It was added that the "occult" reference on the Server can be changed to "heretical" by upgrading, prompting the idea that assassins may be after Shiva for heresy. Skarekrow indicated that it was plausible for his story to change following the decision to abandon the Chaos blade storyline, possibly adding the Server in B. Town to reflect his new goal.
Rather than summarize a longer post, Skarekrow decided to add this from Viral's thread directly into this one that the Server reminded him of these swords:
Kora
This one
Or a curved version of this
The
Kora is the most interesting one as it was commonly used for either
beheadings or rituals. I'll let your imaginations wander but what type
of rituals use a sword that was designed for decapitating someone?
Also,
these are all from India and Nepal. While most of the time "east" is
meant to refer to China or Japan, India certainly fits the bill nicely.
Claw weapons were widely used in this region. Shiva's has three blades
which would be unusual but the handle is manufactured similar to a katar.
Maybe "east" is meant to reflect a much broader area than we thought......
Skarekrow then added that Shiva's armor has design elements in common with Indian armor as well in these links: this........and this
KomradDakka asked/referenced Shiva's status as the god of death with Skarekrow stating he believes that Shiva is tied to destruction and transformation which closely correspond to "death" in human parlance.
And then the crowd went wild!

Re: There's more to them
So the server is more than meets the eye?
Is it at all plausible that the server fully upgraded is the weapon for knocking down sacred walls to scared secret areas?
