Hello all. Im a fairly new dark souls player. I'm almost finished on my first run through. Im on xbox 360. Feel free to msg me if you want any help, currently have a SL 77 and SL 83.

I read this forum for a long time, so today I decided to finally register.
I have around 250 hours on DS. Recently, with the upcoming of the DLC, I made an another character... and I felt again deeply inside the game (addiction !). I used to be more a PVE player but now I want to try the PVP experience... not so good but I'm learning step by step. Oh, I play on Xbox.

By the way, thanks for all the precious informations and players' experiences that I found on this wiki. This is priceless.

Ehm, hello. I'm really, REALLY new to the forums (made an account about 2 seconds ago), and really new to DS (25-30 or so hours in). I'm not sure people still use this post, but I figured I might as well; besides DS, I play various other video games, RPGs mostly (emphasis on the RP), I also run a P&P-Roleplaying group, and practice Jiu-Jitsu every Tuesday. That's ol' me in a nutshell, I suppose; a pleasure to meet you all.

Don't worry, there's still people posting here, although not all members do. I do not know whether everyone reads this topic or not, though i hope they do, as i do. You may not always be met with an welcome right in this topic, but do not take that as hostility, but rather the fact that most people are discussing here or just doing some wooble dooble(<--- wth?) Either way, i might as well say, welcome, hope you like it here, and what console to do play on?

Hey guys my name is Liam and I've finally decided to join this forum after lurking it for so long haha, my Xbox GT is Liamwot if anyone want's to co-op when the DLC comes out for me. I'm only on my NG+ with about 61 hours and almost finished it again. It's without doubt the best game I've ever played.

Hey what's up everybody, very new to the forum but not to the game. Been playing since it came out pretty much on PS3. I love making role playing pvp builds and invading. I also like co-op but hard to do so around sl 125, where I usually end my pvp builds. Hit me up sometime, I may invade you in the DLC.

What's up everybody? I'm a Dark Souls enthusiast after reluctantly picking the game up back in August. While at first I was skeptical, I fell in love shortly there-after. I'm a PS3 gamer, and my PSN is the same as my username.

My first build is a level 201 Faith Knight. With this build I love using the Zweihander, and multiple buffs such as power within and sunlight blade. I'm a ways through NG+, but after having come so far I find there's not much more to do on this build other than PVP. I'm currently re-building this character from scratch to be more faith oriented, but to be within the level 100 range for the DLC's PVP arena.

My primary alt is a Level 136 Archer, which focuses solely on a Composite Bow/Red Tearstone ring combo. It's been a long but fun run, and I've taken to PVP at the kiln. I admit I fancy the Dragonslayer Greatbow on this build for the lulz.

So yeah, not much else to say, I do my research, and I plan accordingly, Hit me up if you know what's up.

Hey, all. I've been lurking here for quite a while, but I can't stay silent indefinitely.

My involvement with Dark Souls started a couple of months ago when my husband bought it, and I was a co-pilot (translation: I scoured the Wiki) as he played through, having absolutely no idea that multi player existed. My first impression was that it was way too hard, but when I went back to the other RPGs I typically play (KoA at the time), I was suddenly bored out of my mind, so I started playing myself. Now we have an issue in our house because there are 3 DS players, but only 2 XBoxes.

My favorite thing about the game is Co op, and I have several characters at various SLs to co op different bosses/levels. Still trying to figure out what I like best; have been tending towards sorcery, but after watching my son tank his way through the catacombs I'm branching out with a strength / end build and trying out the heavier weapons. Although, I had been planning to use the Zwe, but while I built up the strength I grabbed a reinforced club, and now find for the moment I like it much better. This has been met with skeptisism.

Husband: "You're using a stick"

Me: "Yes, but it has nails and barbed wire at the end"

Husband: "You're using a stick."

Me: "Fine. Yes. I'm using a stick. A Stick that does 300 damage at SL 20. Isn't that what your +15 WP does at SL 43?"

Husband: "It's still a stick"

Hello, everyone. My name is Cody. I'm 20 and I've been playing games for as long as I can remember. I've spent some time in college and as of right now I'm job hunting. I actually have an interview with Gamestop tomorrow. Combined with the PC and Xbox versions, I've got around 300 hours on Dark Souls and I'm STILL learning things. Since this game's been robbing me of all my time, I figured it'd be appropriate to -finally- get more active in the community. If anyone's interested in gaming with me, I can play on either xbox or PC. But I don't nearly have as many hours PC as I do xbox, just a head's up. My Gamertag is iHokuto Shinken. I do enjoy my PvP as well as co-op. But my focus as of right now is getting to NG+7. Right now I'm at the tail end of NG+3 with Gwyn just right around the corner. Nice to meet you all.

I really do hope it gets difficult. Everyone I know who played it was going on about it being the hardest game ever :/

Well....

I have been doing most of the boss fights without taking a hit (and not healing) - may as well be naked.

I didn't use an estus until Sen's because I didn't know what they were and didn't want to waste them D:

Only boss fight I healed in was the Centipede because I jumped over lava which would kill me if I didn't heal.

The games difficulty does increase between each playthrough, though that may not be a problem to some as some people have mastered the parries/rolls...

Anyhow!

If even that does not give you the challenge you need you can do challenge runs, something most Dks players seem to be doing. One example being going naked.

It's pretty simple coming up with challenges really. For example i'm going to do an archer only run, and i'm considering replacing it with a Gough run instead. Which means slower bow, and no melee weapons whatsoever. Now that is quite something.

Hi all! Name's MEEfO here and on PSN, Matthew in real life. Though most of my friends call me MEEfO. Been a sort of pen name of mine since high school. I'm an amateur filmmaker, professional graphic designer/ photographer/ video editor--any sort of visual, largely digital art really. Any fellow urban explorers in this forum?

Lifelong gamer--my first true obsession was building levels for Doom 2 using WADED at age 14. Uploaded my maps to AOL for users to download, play, and rate. My first social network in a sense. I figured out how to make invisible walls and (seemingly) floating platforms early on, and got an email from the id software team about that. I peaked too early haha.

Presently only 100 hours into DS--already among my 3 favorite games all-time--looking forward to hundreds more hours. SL90 at the moment. Still first playthough. Faith build, so I'm loving co-op, but an absolute PvP putz. Seriously, invade me for serious lulz. Can't quite get the hang of avoiding backstabs--seems my opponent just teleports behind me and suddenly I'm backstabbed every match. Many of you will be happy to hear that I've never used WoG, not even once. Anyway hoping advice elsewhere on this forum will aid me in improving my PvP skills because it's naturally an area I want to migrate toward. May have to roll a new character.
