I liked it, but i watched it at a point in my life where the whole good evil and biblical imagery was fascinating to me. I'd have to go watch it again to give you what would be a less biased answer.

YES! Its pretty good. I was writing a book about demons in the 1920's when that came out. I'll revisit that book later.

Most of the comic book enthusiasts I know hate it cuz it's supposedly nothing like the comics, but that doesn't bother me in the least. I think it's a pretty good movie. To answer your question more specifically, definitely worth seeing at least once.
