I just found that one girl from the beginning of the game in the forest, and the gran soren doors are open, along with the gate in the mines.

And now I have no idea what to do next.

Me? I just went all the way back to Cassardis to get my main pawn a nice shirt. Not really all that heroic but it goes to show how much of a nice guy I am.

What I want to know is this:

Is this game just sort of slow to start? Like, if I get more into it and get oh so far in, will I start to enjoy it a lot more?

Also, playing a fighter might have something to do with it. Strider and Mage seem like they might be WAY more fun.

lol dough, just got DD yesterday and the first time i enter the rift i see your pawn! (Shana right?) either way, im going a magick archer route, any tips for the troublesome tome quest?

^yes my pawn. I believe you can se your friends pawns easier. For a troublesome tome Im nto sure if its the same each time but go south first, thats where I found mine. Also apparently you can copy it for yourself and give the guy the original but I couldnt find where and since Im a assassin I didnt look to hard.
@Jorund I found it was a little slow to but keep at it. Parts can be hard but uits rewarding, like when I first killed a group of Saurion, a monster whihc had until then destroyed me.

killed the bandits to the south with no result and im having trouble going to the northern location on my map due to both a cyclops and a chimera showing up, so for now im doing a quest in a quarry...except there are ogres who can one shot me and "get excited" around female characters (3/4 of my party...) so it looks like time to grind and make my pawn a warrior....

lol I was fighting a bunch of snow harpies to the south and suddenly my party dies, I turn around and a griffin is sitting on their corpses. I lost that fight.
The ogres will destroy you. They're destroying me once they go mad.
EDIT Just after I say that I kill one with ease. Then the second one kill sme when its on like 10 hp.
EDIT: I just had an ogre fall through the fall lol. My first bug. Thank god I didnt save after.

Guys trust me on this, when an ogre flushs with anger jumpo onto its back and slash its head. Its like a rodeo and its wont throw you off.

Okay, so, again, I'm playing as a fighter--anyone else? If there is anyone else, do they feel it's kind of boring? I'm thinking about starting over at a mage or strider.

I started as a fight but went to assassin. Try that before you start over.
More people need to post so I can stop editing.

Wow you can be arrested. Im suprised Im not behind bars with the number of dukes soldiers Ive accidentally attacked

You gotta do serious stuff I think, like make them hostile ALTHOUGH I got arrested for picking up a dude and roppig him. Enoughof my pranks apparently. Found anothre castle, had to kill a doznen direwolves to get in but Im about to enter.
EDIT: Nope, Ser Whitby is a douche who wont let me in. However luckily I found a rest spot where some dude basically acts as a mini inn.

Up date on that quest friend,looks like I have not done it
To be honest with you at the moment I am just roaming around and saying to myself "I wounder what over the next hill"
I have hardly touched the main story and have done about 20 side quest.
I am just plodding around taking it all in and grinding what I can.


I walked for miles last night from the bottom of the Southwest of the map all the way up to the Northeast of the map to a place called Bluemoon Tower.
Do not think I should have been there just yet as I could not progress to far in.

@Bio Damn you lol I just did the bluewmoon tower quest, it involves killing a griffin and its really hard. And I'm just taking some pics of a glowing golem like the one you have to upload! I also found my first portkey.

No I mean any tips as to where to go, say to buy more goodies?

Gran Soren still. I have yet to find another town. Should I place my portkey at a northern tower or take it down to the starting town?
For some reason my map has opened up and it doesn look like there much to the south west. Bu tthe north west is stil under cloud.

I've yet to see Soren's Armourer update his shop. I just want to find merchants!

I looked at the world map, its a lot tinier than expected and their are no other towns. You might just have to luck out and find a peddler.

So this is it?

I cant even go into central Gransys without being ambushed by something ten times my size...

Thats a link to the map if you want to see it. Its surprisingly small for how big the map is in game. As you can see Central Gransys is basically the furthest you can go.
