fast weapons= pro?

why do i get the feeling that the only way you can be pro is if you move fast and have a fast weapon?

The MSGS and DGM dispute this claim.

My Scythe disputes this claim.

You get that feeling because currently ninja flipping Dex builds are all the rage. It's just a fad

That's because you're SL Ten Thousand and Four and have 200 Endurance.

I wnder how much his CMW +power within + RTSR + parry riposte would do?

Federally I have 99 endurance and on my other murakumo build SL120 I still roll fast without DWGR

To see true damage you have to talk to Rynn and DarkW17 or whatever his username is. I think Rynn uses the DGA on occasion and Dark uses an SLB Great Club to instagib in the forest.

I instagib a lot of things too xD but I try not to anymore I like the DGA but it is a bit OP when I OHKO dead angle with my CMW DGA for about 1300ish damage or so xD

Lol I know I avoid DWGR usage myself and stick to fast or medium rolling. I'm just having fun cracking jokes about the FH build you keep posting.

...What do you mean by pro? If you mean win most of your duels than could be because quicker players usually avoid fat roll/ over 25% equip load players attacks quite easily. The pro players in my extremely humble lord opinion win because they wait. Once you make one mistake, they kill you.


I use claymore, black knight halberd, avelyn, pyro mostly for pvp. Tank one hit and parry. Or just spam "unfair things" and you will now be "pro" lol

Dont let people backstab you, keep your timing right, parry like a boss. now your pro..

You can be a total pro with slow walk and by using only dragon bone fist R2. Your enemies will awe in your mightyness

Any "Fast" weapon type in the game takes a hell of a lot more skill than any slow weapon type.
Game is significantly easier in PvP when I use my MSGS character. Holy crap I spammed RB, staggering him and killing him in two hits. I'm so skilled.

I really don't like using that character, actually I use a Dragon Greatsword on it now, but it's still the same ordeal, except it can't be enchanted and has bad damage in itself, but I like the RT attack.

It's a hell of a lot harder on my Kirks set + Washing Pole character.

Tell that to my Halberd that has three times the range of any little rapier and twice that of a katana while moving just as fast. As a bonus, you can't riposte the end of my hitbox.

I wouldn't call those players "pro" just because their weapon is easier to hit with. Most of them appear to be bandwagoners who are just going with what seems easiest and most successful in PvP. In fact, their weapons would be laughable without lag. If PvP was in perfect real time I could flick my shield up for a quarter second and catch every blow of theirs.

From my experience being "pro" isn't about weapon buffs or loadouts or even the weapons themselves, it's about predicting and accounting for lag. I still have a lot to learn on that front but knowing the right time to strike even through lag is the mark of an experienced player.

No, properly using slow weapons is just as effective and difficult as properly using fast weapons. Its easier to suck with a slow weapon and win anyways, but if we're talking "pro" players, big weapons are extremely difficult to use effectively.

I use the iaito and the dgm, so I speak from both ends of the spectrum.

Ninjas cant dodge anywhere... when I catch them in a stun-lock. :drunken:

My builds are really different too. I use Smoughs hammer and a falchion. both builds don't use DWGR. the smoughs build is alot harder to win with..being as I can't block. (cant 1 hand the weapon...)

you can escape stunlock by switching weapons... im just pointing out that players who call themselves "honorable" are always flipping around and using dex weapons or something small and god forbid someone uses a black knight greataxe(which is the easiest thing in the game to parry >.<) they are a noob... just saying
