I hate people.

It seems to be phrased finely to me, the only thing I could suggest would really be to make some sort of offhand reference to something funny.

It seems fine to me when I explain that all math is essentially addition. Doesn't mean my little brother gets it.

The "lines" I can see are fractured. I can't find the connections. Its like a rail road with a section of track offset.

More so the track is there, the conductor just doesn't think there is one.

Metaphors and similes can only go so far.

He was asking about what your definition of stupidity is, if you say intelligent people are doing acts that are stupid.

He was questioning what you consider intelligent.

He was pointing out that your "hatred of people in general," is similar to racism in which people project negative individuals onto others of the group and generalize.

He brought up education versus actual intelligence.

He also touched upon how he thinks you need to look at all of the sides of humanity rather than just the one you are focusing on.

I believe these were the themes and points he brought up, though I could be wrong on some such as the racism.

Maybe the bronies should come in here and teach us to tolerate the views of others.

Stupidity is a failure to or inability to think critically.

Intelligence is critical thinking skills, which can both be possessed naturally or aquired through practice.

Smart people do stupid thing, the opposite is also true. Its the volume that measures intelligence in the context in which I am using it.

I suppose by "I hate people" it would be more accurate to say "i hate the (frequently demonstrated) capacity for any given person to fail to think critically and independently and have seen the frequently of such failures increase dramatically in larger groups of people, even when the individual members display high levels of intelligence" but I had to spend a few minutes figuring out how to articulate that. My failure to represent my meaning properly was one such failure.

I also specifically stated that I have no problem with most individuals, but rather the groups. The "mob mentality." Its nothing like racism. I dislike the groups for their actions, something they can control.

I do see the good in humanity, the things people have accomplished. However for every good thing, I see several idiotic things. I am aware that Idiotic is simply how I see it, that changes nothing because I actually try to understand the view being presented. I don't deem it idiotic unless I fail to see the logic.

IE I can see attacking violence in media, while not agreeing, I cannot see attacking violence in games, but ignoring violence in books and movies.

I cover everything?

I didn't get upset, because I have not seen you intentionally insult someone yet. I pointed it out, so you would see how someone could be offended by it.

I think he meant more so that either your emotions were clouding your view, it happens to us all and as you said you were offended and getting emotional. Or that you just weren't looking at it the right way. I know how to solve a mathematical equation, but sometimes I'll look at it and just not get it. Someone will say, "Add that part first." I'll look at it again and go, "Oh, I wasn't looking at it right."

Why I said I don't understand, why I asked for an explanation. I wasn't getting it. Usually the perception shift happens without help, allowing me to understand, but it didn't, so I said I didn't understand, and the responses I got were essentialy "I understand" and "You arn't trying." Decidedly unhelpful.

I wasn't offended, I even bolded the if in "If I were so inclined." The benefit of doubt was exercised there.

Because we really didn't know how to simplify it more for you, to us it was very blatant. So I just tried removing some of the deeper parts and giving it at its most basic form, essentially just restating what he had already said with less to it.

Evidently we think very differently. Its difficult to describe thought processes in words, but I'll try.

His post was like one of those magic eye things, where you're supposed to relax your eyes or look through it. I couldn't see the picture, only the things is is comprised of,however obvious it might have been to you. I can now, but only because I was told what to look for.

I usually see other things in them than what I'm supposed to haha, though I have *** up eyes.

I'm terrible with anything abstract like that, but straight forward things get boring faster.

Yes acid. My favorite things tend to have fairly basic rules, but complex, debatable and situational details. Ie, fighting, racing, mtg, snowboarding.


I think in straight lines. I try to understand more abstract concepts, but it just doesn't happen. I'm not smart enough to see the math in music for example, so I've never been able to make it. Some people can do it without needing to know the math, but thats even more confusing.

I like that too. Don't and complexity to something that doesn't and have some complexity when necessary. No over complex or simplify something... not many people like that, and those that do are frowned upon by others... which goes for everything else in the world in most cases.

Complexity is really just a bunch of simple things jammed together at once. Like an engine each part has it's own function to turn a wheel.

Though I agree with forum on this. But if you wanna figure out complex things, just break it down on part at a time ands figure out the part. It's how I learned to fix my mopeds
