I've met WyrmHero, we had a quick duel but his Mura beat me

It was close though

I'll make friends with people I invade and if they are struggling I would msg them, or a "good fight" to people with good style. If I invade again I just BC out.

I play the same way I would in FC. Bow, no BS, "GG" afterward. I'm actually really, really forgiving in FC. I don't even stunlock. Why? I don't really know. Playing with people like Rant and Glatts (DarkW) who play similarly probably got me in that habit/mindset. They're my two favorite people to play against. Always a blast with those guys. Plus, they're both great players, and dueling with them helps tweak my style for the better. I always welcome fights with good players, even if it's an almost guaranteed loss (damn you, Pep).

most of my friends were made in pvp followed by co-op after a nice fight, it fun to run into someone you know.

Well I just dump the ambush tactics I normally employ, show myself and wait until they're prepared to fight. Then wave bow and commence a duel. People on my friends list are usually better then me, damn you Billy and Glatts!, so I don't want to loose the opportunity to fight them. I'm just not gonna run up to them and try and Force them off a ledge like I would a random lol.

Lol well me and you trade victories. Today in the Catacombs Billy stomped the **** out of me repeatedly and Glatts kept saving his *** with parries. Was kind of ridiculous.

Not you though... This guy was a D**K... Heal, TWOP, WOG... he actually TWOP me 2 times in a fight... Unbelievable

I dont see how BSes are considered unethical to use in formal fights, its a game mechanic, not a cheat. (no flaming intended, a uick enlightenment is all I ask)

Okay you said formal fight, which tend to have different standards then a normal invasion scenario. Formal fights, or duels, are typically done for the fun of the fight and not just the victory. Backstabs dramatically shorten the fight and thus shorten the fun. So in most arranged fights BS is avoided.

If its an invasion I rarely have tank builds with things like Vitality (pssh!) and poise (they have that?) so I go for the assassination games.

The reason I don't do it isn't because it's frowned upon. It's jist more enjoyable when both parties aren't poise BSing the whole time.

I pvp'd one night about a month ago... about 5 hours worth. It was in the kiln. Never occurred to me to complain about others' tactics. Someone wants to TWOP or Wrath the hell out of me go right ahead. Even ambushers are part of the game (wink-wink, above).

From March to June Ive been almost exclusively PvPing as a non-healing GraveLord host ,

but +- 4 weeks ago I made a chaos servant whom I started using for invading only.


Been playing since release though but havent had internet for 3 months.

I made most of my Dark Souls friends through PvP & we duel or hang out as GLs often , so there is no need to BC out if I happen to invade them , we welcome eachother

I enjoy fighting & appreciate the fighting mechanics of the game therefore I dislike backstabbing ,

but as an invader , I always BS punish a host for healing.

And I certainly always lock-off & backstab buttonsmashers who poke with their shield up all the time , it shouldn't even be possible to do.

It's also fun to take a few hits while they waste stamina and then start smashing them when they are staggered

Good to see all the players I respect on the forums come show how they play!

LordGod you need to show up to one of the forum events. It's a great way to see some of the better Pvp'rs out there doin their thing.

now that you asked i remembered a weird thing that happened to me
i was invading as a forest hunter when i invaded a friend, i was so surprised and scared that i died without even noticing.
later i was talking to him and he said it wasnt actually he that killed me, but it wasnt a phantom either
i dont know if i misunderstood him, cause he was french and had poor english, but i dont know what attacked me

When I happen to invade my friend's world I just **** the Joy!-gesture and wave at them, followed by a bow, then we proceed on having sex (=epic duel).
