THIS IS ONLY A BIT OF SPICE TO THE SOUP BOYS>> lil sum'sum'
Drake continues his interrogations; Laplace keeping his own distance, repeating his dire urgency for immediate haste of foot. All the while, just below the confusion and intensity of heated discussion... another discussion ensues... whispering in the dark, murky crevices beneath the very battlement.
Dripping water trickles down the hood of a man who's lower half of his pale face is dimly lit by a warm reddish light, their small echos fill the stone shadowy cellar as they make their final drop onto the shallow pool of water at the rooms floor.
"They argue... unwavering. ....Callus fools. The lot of them", the man utters in a raspy voice.
From the darkness, another voice replies in whisper from a corner of the cellar; this one producing a slightly deeper octave, "So you say.. But who are we to interfere? Should we not allow the heated congregation reach its boiling point? Should it not prove more effective?"
Yet another unseen man adds his thoughts with a crisp whisper, as if whistled through a teethy grin,
"I concur. These men all hate one another. Let their own ill-tempered behaviors be the end of them. Let fate run its course... and let us watch..."
Finally, a fourth voice claims the chilled silence of the watery chamber, this one calmer. A voice careful and soothing, pouring out and filling the room with its tranquil embrace, "But are we not tied to their fate? Is it not His will that we obey? If we truly wish to follow our Lord we must continue as the pieces to the game fate itself has placed us in. We mustn't push... nor are we to lie still... we move by His hand. For it is ever hovered over us... stretching forth it's vast shadows upon us... we must always look to the shadows... yet must always be seen... by his eyes... and eventually to those he would destroy."
After a short pause, the other occupants whisper in unison,
"Agreed."
While the only partially visible person in the room remains silently gazing over a small ball of red and white light hovered above his lap, the calm voice continues,
"Fear not my brothers... patience is nothing we've ever lacked." The voice falls silent for a short and thoughtful moment, "But patience is only a thoughtful sleep which we must wake from eventually... None escape their fate. The assassin is no different. He knows what he's involved in."
The light slowly dims until only the trickling drops of water lay claim to the darkness.
I wanted to add that since this doesn't really change whats been said, I don't think Dough will have to rethink much, if anything ;p
