Hmm, I'm wondering if that is just because of it being in Dev mode, or what. If so, that sort of sucks to not be able to level up, similar to when you are first in the asylum.

It's confirmed that you can warp from the new areas so almost certainly it's due to being in dev mode.

is it just me or does the enemy the artorias kills in the intro look very similar to the crown of the dark sun and the sunlight maggot? anyone think they might possibly be linked? Artorias soul is also colored black and purpleish obviously something to do with him being consumed by the abyss. I always thought he would be the end DLC boss but he's clearly not so i wonder who or what would be? if oolacile is being consumed by the abyss i wonder if we will see either of the primordial serpents?

I think those enemies looked more like cousins of mimics.

- I beleive I heard it stated that there are four bosses; The Sanctuary Guardian, Artorias, a Fire Breathing Dragon, and "One that we are not announcing yet". If we look at things associated with the Abyss that we know of so far, we have Darkwraiths, Artorias, the Primordial Serpants, and it is of my personal beleif that the Evil Eye was as well.
What I want to know is why call the content "Artorias of the Abyss" if he isn't even the last boss/main focus of it?

It's probably because he might have to do with the story. Maybe his soul gets released and he helps you in the last fight or some stuff like that. Maybe you get to play as Artorias against the last boss. Holy **** that would be awesome.

Well, techincally, yes. What is known as having Eyes? The Evil Eye. I thought it would be more of a beholder, but a giant being covered in eyes is pretty awesome as well. And no, it's never mentioned other than the Ring, but we know it destroyed Astora, so it's got to be pretty powerful.
My guess is that it weakens Oolacile and then Seethe outright destroys it, but thats all conjecture

I'm still curious about Artorias's soul. What do we do with it? Make armor? New weapon? Offer it somewhere and talk to him? Summon him in the final boss? New ending? That reminds me, Artorias is missing his greatshield, which he would normally have used in his now broken left arm.

If I had to guess, it's going to be a new spell (A la Sunlight Spear), we already have his weapons/sheild, and his armor was said to be found in that trailer.
And it looks like the mysteries are just getting started; why is his arm limp? Is he already corrupted at the start of the DLC? Do we watch him get corrupted?

How can he lift his weight with one arm and do that spinning attack? What is that perpetual goo that follows him that looks like sewage? Why does he have such long hair? How does he roll so fast? Why is he so tall? Where is his face? Why does his soul look so messed up?
