He does have that "This is the end" feel to him. I mean, dark room, big horns, huge staff, he just screams "final boss"

Totally! I still hope he isn't the final boss though. I'm hoping for some iconic Dark Souls character to be the final boss. Fromsoft has also been very secretive about the final boss so why post a picture of it on facebook? We'll know sooooooon...

I don't think the Darklurker is the final boss of the DLC. I think it's the first. I mean that is deffinetly his hand that drags you in to DLC.

Maybe its frampt and kaathes body....


I always thought kaathe and frampt were just appendages used to lure you in with a firendly face. Like an angler fish.

It's not the first boss that's for sure. Sanctuary guardian is immediately after you enter the DLC content.

Indeed...it's highly likely this creature has connection with Kaathe and Darkwraiths.

I reckon thats the true beast, the serpents are just constructs which lure us in to do its bidding. I would say that big darklurker is going to have allot of significance and we may discover oollacile fell to the primordial serpents machinations, just as we are watching the aftermath of anor londos fall to their machinations.

So a couple things,
Firstly I'm wondering if the term "Darklurker" refers to things that have the Abyss as their home as these guys are also referred to as "Darklurkers."

Second, since it's actually from the photo gallery and not the trailer I'll be taking it over to the sticky but methinks I know what happened to Mr. Artorias' left arm......

So I know I am new and don't have much of a right to comment on this. But what the heck, I am!

Anyone notice that Artorias' move-set is very similar to Sif's?

Step+Strike
Charge+Strike
Double Strike

Just one of the small things I have picked up on... Kind of makes me wonder about "Giant" Sif. Perhaps the ritual the Darklurkers were doing was to transport the "soul" left of Artorias into Sif.

Which would explain why we gain his ring when he dies.

Just some small speculation.

I also speculated that we will be bringing artorias's souls to sif. Its been speculated before even the dlc was announced that sif contained the soul of artorias.

How a wolf holding a sword in its mouth, and a man using it in his hand, would have similar animations is beyond me. I sort of see what you are saying, but I think its more so just typical sword combat. Standing still and swinging won't do a whole lot. Gwyn steps forwards with each swing too.
