Well I suppose we'd best get prepared. Correct me if my thinking is flawed here, but won't there have to be a compatibility patch for us on ps3 when the dlc is released in Japan (Oct 25)? I'm guessing all the fixes will be included in that patch, so not only do we have to wait 4 f*in months for the additional content, but 2 of those months will be without the new content OR the BB!

This what I read in the gamefaqs forum. DWGR was modified and can't BB glitch in the prepare to die edition.

Babboon, I would be more concerned by the fact that either the Japanese players will be able to roflstomp people with the new gear, or that the population is going to massively shrink because we won't be able to connect to them.

Well we are currently playing together with two different sets of Elite Knights gear in existence. So we could play with Japanese players with two DWGRs out there. It's just the new stuff that's really an issue.

Yea but there would have to be SOME kind of patch in order for us to even be able to see the new equipment, as I am assuming it isn't locked content on the disc. A recent example that comes to mind is Mortal Kombat. Once the DLC characters were released you had to download a compatibility patch in order to play online (unless you bought the DLC of course.) Since it is supposedly a headache to get a patch approved by Microsoft or Sony, I would think they would just tie it all up into ONE patch, as opposed to doing one in October and another in December. Again, I could be totally wrong, and with the BB being fixed I HOPE I am wrong so I have a couple extra months to experiment with builds!
