Saw some pvp battles in the arena on streams.People with buffs and heals are going to be he most dangerous because it resets your spells when you die.

Any changes to the balder side sword? And do we know what shields have deflection in PvP?

Most of the changes sound great, but I'm not excited about the no wall bounce one for bigger weapons. Being able to get your opponent's claymore or giant axe etc hung up on walls or trees etc while I darted in and out with a small weapon was a good tactic and one that made perfect sense.

I'm thinking the no wall deflection only applies to smaller weapons but someone will have to test that out. It wouldn't make much sense if someone could spam GS/UGS R1 in a tight corridor.

Someone needs to test out the shield deflection too, I'm curious to know if it applies to all of the smaller weapons or only the poking ones.

The deflection is only when you're attacking forward with a weapon that happens to come from the side. If you attack at a wall, no matter what, it'll be deflected.

Not sure if anyone stated that already, but in PTD you can't backstab people who are under the influence of Iron Flesh.

I think its very cool in the sense that it is a great option for people who dont want to do the average dex/int build. It makes str/int a somewhat viable build. I really really like a lot of the changes they made, i can't wait till we get the content/patch on consoles.

The STR weapons, a great ax at least, doesn't grant Hyper Armor, I was using a new Ax in the DLC to test this.

My Rapier did NOT bounce off a Crest Shield, and they continued to hit against my Greatshield with the BSS. but to be honest, unless they buffed the Crest Shield or nerfed Dragon Roar, this player could have been glitching, as my roar did not stagger them, as it usually does, and they hit me outside of their range constantly, but moved around fine (as in attacks could have lagged, but when they moved, the did not, trying to give the person the benefit of the doubt).

Ok so the hyper armor doesn't apply to all strength weapons. Do you think it only applies to the UGS due to the slow attack speed then? I want to know which weapons.

As for the shield deflection.....arrrgh so apparently it only applies to spears????? And I have no idea about whether Dragon Roar has had any changes. I doubt the crest shield was buffed either. gdi more unknowns to find out!
