First really ****ty thing I realised about the arena mode.

As you might know you can't use healing items at the arena and your health doesn't recover after you win a duel, only if you lose and respawn.

But...

You can use healing miracles in the arena.
This means if you win you can full heal yourself during the time your opponent respawns.

Now everyone is going to HAVE to have the healing miracle or the enemy that has it has HUGE upper hand.

Thats *** moronic. Health should refill after a fight. faith builds are king guys. Int lovers can go home now.

What if you have sanctus on? How long is it between the fights?

I dislike the arena (I am thankful it was added, but) I don't like how its so multiplayer like, instead of dueling. They should add a 'professional' (for lack of a better word) duel too, where the players only get one life.

You have roughly 15 to 20 seconds or something between the fights. More than enough to heal or buff.

That's incredibly moronic. Everyone should get healed after a fight, win or lose.

Sanctus is not good enough. place needs fountains of estus or something.

I suppose they intended it as a survival mode with the logic that if you put the heal miracles in your using points to get them in there. but without alternatives heal miracles are grossly grossly overpowered.

The only thing about the arena that sounds interesting right now is the free for all.

Too bad, not hyped for the arena though. Burg/Moonpit/Kiln/PW are fine.

I don't have a problem with this fact. Rarely is a guy going to be in a 4 man free for all, by himself waiting for the 3 others to respawn. Even so, you come back with full HP after you die so there shouldn't be an issue there.

Maybe you are not getting the point here. There is an issue if you don't have the heal and your opponent does, because he gets the full health bar if he wins, but you have to continue with your low health if you win.
I'm talking about 1v1 arena, since there would be no time to heal on FFA-matches.

WHAT??? Damn....I'm happy about the no healing items but you're right, it seems like people with healing miracles will have a big advantage. I'm hoping arena pvp will still be tolerable......

On a side note, I'm going to add this arena info to the PDT changes thread. GDI I was looking forward to arena pvp....

I might swap my chaos blade for an iaito then and use poison resin.. make their life keep ticking even when I am dead.

not really, unless you had a 2 or 3 on you. Great heal would be the way to go. It might not fully heal, but it will be enough.

It's disappointing that they didn't add duels with just one life. I'm not sure why they didn't do that.

Hopefully it will get patched. An arena bonfire like someone suggested is the best solution.

endurance builds win in the arena, considering they nerfed everything else into the ground... i can understand a rebalance, but making items and spells completaly useless is another thing

How would spells be useless, the replenish when you die. Don't miss. Make each cast count. I know thats easier said than done, but with the beiber ring nerf it should be much easier than it ever was.
