Here is the official home thread for the Gravelord User Covenant, now named by a greater concensus the Gravesworn.

We exist to propagate the Misery Nito would want us to inflict on the
living as well as providing a strong support network for new Gravelords
or veteran players who have considered joing but considered the Covenant
broken.

Lore

We art-

"The
souls of lost humans who swore thier Oaths to Nito, Lord of the Dead,
and were granted new bodies comprised of many corpses of the Undead that
roam Lordran. In doing so Nito made his servants immortal and charged
them with bringing about the new age he desires. Each Gravesworn is
bound to Nito and can channel his malice through the Eyes of Death to
spread vast quantities of misery throughout the world. Nito named his
most trusted servants Heralds, the harbingers of a form of his ill will
toward the living"."


Like all Covenanters we play to serve the Great Lord of Death by accruing as many Eyes of Death as we possibly can.

For
too long we the servants of Nito, inheritors of his glorious powers,
have shunned the light of Lordran. We have wandered alone seeking the
deaths of our enemies. Now Nito has called to us to forge him an army
equal to those of the other Lords.

We shall rise from the crypts of our ancestors and march forth!

Soul Levels

Gravesworn are encouraged to Gravelord anywhere in Lordran at whatever SL is appropriate for that area. However we need to have builds we can use to Gravelord cooperatively and for forum and covenant events. So I need all Gravesworn to make SL 70 builds for Events and Wars.

Within
the Gravesworn we will have a Ranking System that will allow us to
determine our own dedication to the Gravelord Nito, as well as identify
veteran Gravelorders who have put a lot of time into this Covenant.

Ranks will be based upon your in game covenant level and earned Corruption

Thats it. Get out there and start making your builds for the aforementioned SL.
While we will be an organised group there is nothing to stop you from invading and taking out fellow members.

We
are Currently at war with the Noble Knights User Covenant and have
fought with them in the Tomb of the Giants already. It was a narrow
defeat and the turn out was less that we had originally hoped for but it
was great fun. We followed that up by assisting the LifeHunters in defeating the Noble Knights in the Painted World.

The next war will involve most covenants on the forum with the primary sides being the Gravesworn & DarkStalkers vs Noble Knights & LifeHunters.

Vocations

Vocations are the specializations within the Gravesworn, they are composed of; The Bone Hand, the front line soldiers and powerful knights defending the tombs, The Ebon Hand, our spies and agents, and The Red Hand, great magicians and devoteees of Pinwheel.



The Bone Hand

Lore:
These elite soldiers, lead by the infamous Dead Knight Drake, are a remaining fellowship of their once great company of Black Knights. After Gwyn linked with the fire, Drake fled far from his breathren who'd become mindless slaves of Gwyn, shamefully slaying his own corrupt comrades in his escape. When he found himself deep beneath the world of sunlight within the Tomb of Giants, he knelt at the foot of Lord Nito's sarcophagus, pledging his loyalty with a new found purpose. One by one, saneful Black Knights followed in Drakes footsteps, seeking Nito and reuniting with one another under a new Lord.
Drake’s dream of recreating the brotherhood he found with his soldiers was now possible. With his new family in the gravesworn he knew what to do. Dead knights from all over Lordran had slowly joined Nito and with a leader like Drake to inspire them they were whole once again.
Standing together as one, the Bone hand are knights from all over the world. Bound together by death they form the core of the gravesworn fighting force, holding the centre with their heavy plate and weapons.

The Ebon Hand

Leader: The Twin Wolf (TwilightWarWolf)

Speciality: Stealth, Ruthless Execution, and Light Arms and Amour

Lore:
In every organisation there are agents of the masters will, and the Gravesworn are no exception. The Ebon Hand represents the Hand of Nito in all its aspects. Notoriously independent and fiercely protective of its secrets the Ebon hand has become a shadowy brotherhood of spies, saboteurs, and assassin whose members are feared the world over. Led by the Hand of Nito, himself, the enigmatic agent named “the Crow” the Ebon hand operate on all levels of society from simple information gathering to high level assassinations. The members of the Ebon Hand often act alone or in small cells which allow them to operate a peak efficiency while remaining undetected, this is especially true of Avrik who only ever works alone.

Of the Factions within the Gravesworn the Ebon Hand are perhaps the most fanatically devoted to Nito, the Red Hand being sworn to Pinwheel, and the Bone Hand to the Dead Knight Drake. As a result they are often distrusted even by their own allies for the ruthless execution of agencies in the name of the First. Most notably is the rivalry between the Dead Knight and the Crow who both have very clear opinions of how best to serve their master.

Avrik himself is one of the oldest and most dedicated Gravesworn still dead to this day and it is through the continual, and oft unannounced and unrecognised workings of the Ebon Hand, that Nito’s will is done.


Uniform:
The members of the Ebon Hand require secrecy to work at peak efficiency and thus wear cowls and masks in direct conflict with their foes. Additionally many of the Ebon Hand make use of the masks of Pinwheel to represent another aspect of death itself and thus depending on the occasion often switch between the various masks. A member of the Ebon hand may wear any light or medium armour set as long as they wear one of the following- Hollow Thief’s Hood, Gold Hemmed Black Hood, Mask of the Child, Mask of the Mother, Mask of the Father.

Weapons:
The Ebon Hand makes use of all kinds of assassins tools from daggers to curved swords. Primary weapons include all of the Curved Sword, Dagger, Halberds, Spears, Bows, and Cross Bow types of weaponry.

Vagrant witches and warlocks of Carim who once bowed to the chaotic forces of fire, had found their true place of purpose within the folds of necromancy. Bewitched into a plot devised by the treacherous Pinwheel to steal the powers of the first of the four lords, Nito, later found themselves Nito's enemies after the mutiny had been thwarted. In time, the Red Hand, as they were branded, continued to prove allegiance to Nito with their combined efforts, gradually strengthening their pact with the Gravelord and diminishing their status as traitors. Though their true ambitions are ever vexing as their pasts as exiles of Carim.

We are the Red Hand, descendants of Carim exiles in search of their purpose. Our misdeeds against the Gravelord Nito has branded us traitors and mutineers. We continue to prove our servitude together with our fates bound, as ever. Together we spread misery and death, but for our own purposes. We are a scourge; created by the world to eliminate all hypocritical fools who seek vengeance masked by self-righteousness. In the Eyes of Death, our third eye, fate is decided. Revenge is a circular abomination only remedied by death.


Our Goals

- Together we continue to lure SoV's to their deaths, raiding specific locations through cooperative Gravelording.

- We develop in-depth "schemes" to insure the death of an SoV. Strategies and successful solo Gravelording tactics provided by all members is our duty.

- We seek to rid any and all darkmoon affiliate from existence. No mercy. No hesitation.

- We continue to aid any and all servants of the Gravelord in their exploits; complying with any request made by a leader of a Gravelord Covenant. Ever prepared for servitude.


Requirements

Allowed Covenants

- Gravelord Servant
As a member of the Gravelord Servants we obtain our Eyes of Death to lure SoV's to their doom. We are the nearest to the Gravelord Nito himself, and therefore are the main conduits of his will within the covenant.

- Chaos Servant
Those still clinging to our older ways still provide a great deal of our offensive force against all SoV's. Promoting anarchy and drawing out those who seek to "fix" the world through vile vengeance is their purpose.

Clothing Restrictions

As the Red Hand, we are eternally branded as traitors. Therefore, by the will of
Nito, no Red Hand may ever act outside the following clothing restrictions:

Head - Thief's Mask, Any pinwheel mask (mask of the father, mother, child)
Torso - Crimson Robe
Legs - Dark Attire (Black tights, black sorcerers pants, etc)
Arms - Dark Attire (same as legs)

I need to Dough, Gravelords are super helpful when defending Priscy with their BPs.

How would you even do it lorewise? And why would the GS attack the DS after they saved their asses this war?

I just hope people are ok with the idea of new leadership.

Hmmm, im not sure how it would work, and idk if i should Cosplay as Artorias for this cov as well, i REALLY like him, like i love his lore its GENIUS. But it doesint really fit the covenant, so should i make a different one? and For lore, i think we would need billy for this no? i would'int just want to ditch him without some proper lore.

You also might want to speak with Fed asking if Drake dies or if he stays aroundor what happens to him lore wise.

Well lore wise you could always have the hand take the fall and have a new leader come up.

Why would the LH get a new leader?

Avrik dies, so i take his place, but if he wants to come back we will jsut say he rose from the dead or something (it will sound cooler than that if i Loreify it, but im tired, so if im writing lore im doing it tomorrow, Good night :3)
