PvP tales!

(I know he's obviously a noob, but it's still kindof funny)
I put my red sign down in the forest, and got summoned by some guy in full iron golem armor, who ran away a bit to get some distance and buffed a winged spear...a WINGED SPEAR with rotten pine resin. Since he had a spear, I used ol' Horney. I f**ked him up a bit and he pulled out the greatshield of artorias, because everyone knows it has the best magic defence, and starts R1 spamming with the gargyle tail axe. Now keep in mind, I'm not one to 2h a spear and start spamming the R1. I also use velka's rapier. When someone uses a slow weapon, I use a fast weapon(velka's rapier). When someone uses a fast weapon, I use a long weapon(Horney), When someone uses a long weapon, I use sorcery. When someone uses a chaos blade, I turtle with the blood shield and let them kill themselves while sometimes poking with the rapier. This generally works pretty well.
Though I don't see why he would use use golem armor. It weighs the same as giant's armor. It's pretty much giant's armor + 2(?)

I put on a ton of force miracles and decided to do some forest invading.I invade and run around until I find the host fighting the NPCs.He clearly wasn't the best at dodging so I trapped him in the corner by the stairs with my neverending forces and let the cleric beat him to death. NPC revenge!

Once I invaded some guy in the Tomb of Giants. After a few seconds I saw him get kicked by Patches. I go down there and wait at the exit. I see him fighting Reah's bodyguards, so I decide to play nice. I just stood back and watched him in the distance.

He saw me and charged at me, even though I never engaged him and wasn't close to him. Even worse, at least one of Reah's bodyguards were still alive. I just blocked him while one of the bodyguards killed him.

I'm on a new socerer character. I equiped the dusk crown ring then went off to fight in the parish. I just killed an invader that was flipping around with 97 casts of soul arrow.

So ever since I got my PvP build all sorted out I've been blighttown invading non stop. I came across one guy with a portion of his name having " NARUTO " in it and needless to say I was ruthless with him and destroyed him. He sent me some hatemail so I told him his name offended all of my senses.

Also invaded one dude who was waiting for me by the swamp bonfire. When I got close I saw he ran towards the pit and waited on the opposite side and I could tell he wanted a gladiator stlye arena thing so I dropped in with him and he started off with a MLGS and some miracles of course including WotG. We picked away at each other for a bit until he hit me twice with WotG and then I stunlocked him with my zwei, but not enough to kill him. At that point we were basically at the same amount of health and he hit me with another two Wogs and I ended up with an almost invisible sliver of health. I saw him pull the talisman back out and thought it was the end for me. So he casts it and I miraculously dodge it and roll poke him with my zwei to finish him off. Twas a damn close fight.

Fought a bunch of hackers in the forest today.One guy sticks out.
He was in dragonskin,had a dozen different weapons and oh yes...infinite health.The thing is,he forgot to stack poise.I pulled my katana out and another catbro and I stunlocked the living s*** out of him.I bled him three times and he had a sliver of health left so I got to work finishing him.Right as the bleed kicked in,he yanks out his internet cable and tried to troll me with messages.I was quick to point out how crap he was if he couldn't even kill us while invincible.

Invading in Anor (at Solaire's bonfire). I invade a host and his phantom. They just left Solaire's room and went to engage the first Silver knight. I BS the phantom (while the host is chasing me). He gets up and starts to attack me. The Silver Knight BS's him. The host and I go at it. He BS me while using red moss. I wakeup parry him. Guess who won?

I just did a invasion in Anor Londo where there was a full-on Solaire cosplay (who kills innocents) as host with a Ornstein spear-wielding sunbro waiting behind a doorway for me. Scumbag Solaire praises the sun as soon as he sees me and the sunbro pokes me with the spear... once (nice trap guys!). Unfortunately, I missed the BS on the host and took one from the sunbro instead. It goes downhill from there... I get a bunch of gestures for my efforts; mostly praise the sun, and a few others, but no 'well what is its' at least.

Immediately after I respawn back in my world I hit the and I don't even see the searching notice. I just invade right away. Same guy... oh, boy. I thought these guys were questers who just decided to stay put, but they're spamming the dried finger for their cute little sunbro-gank using the hunting technique they learned from the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park. :roll:

I decide to just chill and let them come find me. But, they apparently don't realize that I'm the same guy. I check the dragon head trophy room door again, but it's still locked. Only one way through... hmm hmm hmm... what can be done? :idea: I decide to make the jump from the staircase to the walkway outside the titanite demon room (1st try!). I decide not to chase them, because I can't be sure where they are at this point. In case, these guys plan on doing more ganking I open the trophy room door for the convenience of future invaders. But I close it back over, just on the small chance they could get screwed over by assuming it was still locked.

Fast forward a bit and finally I see them. They carefully advance shields up looking all around -- it's really quite entertaining. They check the titanite room, then head to the trophy room and clear it out. Then head out obviously completely confused at this point. But, surprisingly head into the titanite room. No, still not there... and they don't emerge right away. Wait... are they... I readjust the camera and sure enough; I see two mid-triple digit numbers pop up. Well; I now have my formal invitation to the party. T'would be rude not to join with haste. I cast crystal soul mass just outside the door and as I do the demon's tail sweeps through the wall by the doorway. The sunbro dies, before I even see him (smart move). The host is looking right at me, but can't do anything other than die after getting hit immediately by all soul masses and 2 quick CSS's (2nd was overkill -- but, I was making sure!).

Of course, it goes without saying, but I'll type it just in case: I do the but unfortunately only had time for one. Oh, well... I'll take it!

I recently met a real pro player.
Camping in the kiln, he casted pursuer before I spawned (so you don't see it). Then he casted TWOP when I spawned, run toward me and dark bead me in the face.
My first invation endend like this...

The second one I had my crest shield up and tanked the pursuer, the first dark bead then staggered me and I took the second one right in the face again.
My second invasion lasted 3 seconds more...

So I decided to go a little further in the kiln to spawn at the next spawn point.
This time I had the chance to react and to run from each attempt of trapping me in a pursuer/TWOP combo.
So the "true" duel began there. He was a pure caster, I don't even remember seeing any weapon aside a catalyst and a talisman. During the fight, he also invited some WoG spams to the party (not dead angling, so I guess it was ok against my crest shield).
I consider myself not bad at dodging magic and miracles, but after a 15min fight I died again to a DB in the face while trying to stunlock him to death.
End of a short and sad story...
What did you expect? A glorious ending? You're too naive :pirat:, that last fight exhausted me to death as I knew I could instantly die the next second. I managed to give him some 40/40 composite bow arrows in the face and some hits with my broadsword, but to no avail, as, like you suppose, he used every single opportunity to heal himself. What would have you done in such a situation?

If you think they are being cheap, then go cheaper.

I thought it was cheap in fact, but I won't be whining anyway. My
philosophy is we have to deal with the game as it is, even if it can be a real pain sometimes. It's not because I
don't like it that people will stop using such strategies (the result of
whinning tends to actually be the opposite). I know I could have played
better in the end.

Well my plan was to go and wait for him around the pillar at the middle
of the bridge leading to the last part of the level. I've had success
doing this against some annoying casters, simply circling around the
pillar, waiting for an opportunity. But in this case I would have had to
exhaust at least his 6 TWOP casts first.
How cheaper could I have be? I've heard of a usefull place to deal with
gankers you can jump to at the end of the level. But I never actually saw any
video about this (never really searched for it actually). That might have been a solution.

Oh trust me, it works. I was invaded three times in a row by a prick exploiting that trick.
After carefully examining him though, I realized he was not prepared for an all out assault. He tried to get behind my back the fourth time, but I released hell upon him, killing him quite fast.

However, I allowed him to live a few seconds before I decided to kill him. I enjoyed seeing the panic he was in, as he tried to run away. An arrow took care of him.

It only got better from there, when he kept trying. Always ending with the same humiliating result .

So I played for a while today, and the only person I lost to was someone who stayed in my face and spammed R1. Gg, Dark Souls, Gg

Had quite the evening in the Burg last night. I think I ran the full gamut of things to encounter while PVPing. There were plenty of Dark wraiths hanging about as well as one or two sets of gankers. Also saw a couple of dragonheads and I tip my hat to the Gravelords out there who were keeping it real. I was out representing the Darkmoons. So I invade and there is my quarry down in the square to whom I decide to bow. this guy goes out of his way to ignore me. I stand in front of him and wave but nothing. Clearly he has better things to do. I could have messaged him but we do not have time for civilized actions by this point. I hit PW(ok so I paused in hopes he would react) walk over and BS'd him. That woke him up.I finished him off pretty quick but I didn't feel good about this one.

I got closure several invasions later when we had a reunion. As soon as I showed up he hit PW and I did the same. I rolled through some wotg spam and got a few hits before dying under an avalanche of spam. Yeah, I deserved it but don't ignore me especially when I'm playing it cool.

I would also like to thank ENB for all the Great Scythe attacks I have gradually learned to roll through since his recent dex weapon review.
