Help with weapons and set

Hello guys I'm level 80, just killed the Giant. Now I'm in anor londo but I'm with set Gold-Hemmed Black Hood and Drake Sword and Shield balder shield
I need help from you friends
which gun and which armor to get power leveling, thanks

Wow first off congratulations on getting to Anor Londo with a drake sword, your probably alright upgrading the balder shield a while as it has a very high stability for it's weight.

What stats have you invested in? Are you looking to play a certain way? Tank or dodge, use faith or magic, etc.

With your strength and dex you could be using the Zweihander or Murakumo pretty effectively. Throw in another like 15 - 20 points in strength and you'll be doing great Zwei damage. The Murakumo would be just the opposite. Adding dexterity instead of strength.

You could also give the Washing Pole a shot with those stats. All are very viable choices.

Don't bother with resistance. And try upgrading a halberd or a claymore to +10, or maybe elemental power. The drake sword will not serve you well in Anor Londo.

Agreed - I'd go for the zwei, add some on END so you can get 3 swings in a row. Personally I like the elite knights set +9 or stone armour. Upgrade your weapon too

It depends on what you want out of a weapon. Out of my recommendations, you could be doing similar damage with each depending on how you level up the rest of your stats. If you wanted to go with the Zweihander, you'd be slower to attack, but would probably be hitting harder with individual swings, and stunlocking. If you went with the Murakumo, you would be doing a little less damage from each swing, but you'd also be swinging faster, and could be dead angling more effectively. Plus you would have to increase your dexterity to be doing the most damage possible with it, which means you would also become faster at casting your pyromancy. Which is always a good thing. If you went with the Washing Pole, you would probably be doing less damage with each swing than either of the others, but would be faster, and causing bleed. Which of those sounds best to you?

As I am new to the game in doubt, what do you advise me?

Bearing in mind if this is your first playthroough I would try all the weapons you can and choose your favorite. Then consider starting the game anew with that weapon in mind and leveling accordingly...

Try what you can - thats the beauty of having ten save slots. My first character playthrough I spent 149 hours playing with and didnt even finish the game before I decided what I enjoyed playing with and the style of play I liked..

With his stats he wouldn't really have to start over. He's in a good place, with 20/20 STR and DEX, to use a lot of different things and then level from there. Outside that, I think that's good advice. Maybe try all 3 of those recommendations and see which one you like more, then ask again. Do you know where to get all 3 of those weapons?

As far as armor goes, it'd be easier to recommend something once we know what weapon you decide to go with, as each one requires some different kinds of tactics to be used effectively.

Same goes with stats, and blacksmith upgrades.

The Zweihander is in the cemetery near the Firelink Shrine. From Firelink, which is the place in the beginning with the firekeeper, where all the NPC's show up after you help them out in the world, you go as if you were going to the Catacombs. You'll come to a cemetery with a bunch of skeletons. Just explore in there a little. It's not a very big area, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding it. It's right in front of a large gravestone, where 5 skeletons spawn when you get near it.

The Murakumo is a little harder to get from where you are in the game. You'll have to go to the Tomb of the Giants, which you get to by beating the boss of the Catacombs then continuing on from there. You'll need a light source of some kind, which can be the Light Spell, the Sunlight Maggot, or the Skull Lantern, which if you don't know how to get any of those I can explain that as well. Once you're in the Tomb of the Giants, the Murakumo is a rare drop from any of the sword wielding large skeletons.

For the Washing Pole, you have to join the Forest Hunters Covenant, which is based in the Darkroot Garden. You have to open the large locked door with the Crest of Artorias, which you can buy from Andre the Blacksmith for 20,000 souls. Once inside fight your way to the small building and speak with the cat NPC. Agree with her, that the treasure in the forest is just a story, and then join the covenant. Once you've done that make your way to the blight town poison swamp, the area with the big poison bog before where you fought Quelaag, the big spider woman. The samurai NPC will be there, now that you're a member of the forest covenant, and he'll sell you weapons. One of them is the Washing Pole, which would cost you another 20,000 souls. So you'd need at least 40,000 to do the whole thing if you haven't opened the Artorias Crest Door yet.

Instead of going to the tomb of giants, you can grab the covetous gold serpent ring from Sen's fortress and kill the big skeleton in the graveyard right outside firelink. He drops murakumos too.

Yeah, that's probably a better idea. I didn't recommend it, because I didn't know if they did for sure. I've never gotten one that way.

You know where the zweihander is? Kill that gaint skeleton over and over. He should eventually drop the murakumo.

In terms of getting weapons or using the ones you have obtained?

Try as many different weapons as you can, and see which one you like the best. That's what I would do.

I understand the Zweihander upada is good?
or Murakumo gets better?

Zweihande with my char is too slow
