Discoveries you only made recently.

The Cleansing Greatshield isn't that bad.

I mean, the GSoA is a much better shield, defying the sword swings of Nito

But the CGS isn't that bad. It's like a Dark Hand, but it has much better stability.

I just discovered that you can see the Tomb of the Giants from New Londo Ruins. I stupidly fell off a ledge at the beginning of the ToG after killing Pinwheel because I didn't have a light source. Then I decided to try New Londo. As I was crossing the wooden bridge at the beginning, I saw my green bloodstain off in the distance to the left.

Kalameet is easily soloed if you use the Greatshield of Artorias.

I just noticed a bit of dialogue From might have overlooked.

Patches warns you about Lautrec

But for Patches to appear as a merchant you need to kill Nito, and that's when he warns you.

But to kill Nito you have to get the Lordvessel from Anor Londo.

So you've already finished Lautrec's story by the time Patches becomes a merchant.

Maybe he was planned to only appear in The Catacombs, but was moved because they didn't have time to create another character to push you into the pit, and unless you decide to kill Pinwheel first, you won't be able to find Patches since he disappears if you're going there later in the game.

I discovered that when you rest at a bonfire, the heads of the black hydra do not respawn.

I discovered that if you use this trick to cut off all heads with pyromancies (cuz my weapon broke, so it'd take ages) the hydra will not die. Instead you will have to deplete all his hp while he has no heads left to attack.

I discovered that if you decide to use the dragon head stone to try and kill a headless hydra, it'll take ages, because he'll only take damage if you hit him in very specific spots, which will often be out of range because he keeps swimming away.

That's an amazing discovery, Elifia! I'm shocked at the things I'm still learning about this game in 2013.

Nito's cape doesn't actually block damage, if your weapon is long enough you can still hit him through his cape.

If you summon a phantom in the forest you can jump of the cliff back into Dark Root Basin. The fog walls prevent you from getting back into the forest though. No idea if invaders will still spawn in the forest or if they will spawn outside. Would be pretty funny to see the invaders face if you invade inside the forrest and then spawn outside.

And the pony emoticons are all recolored Twilights with a unicorn horn.

Silver pendant doesn't make your own pursuers fly up everywhere anymore like in Emarrel's videos (only got this spell recently)

Also, 5 balls is not the minimum number for HSM. I invaded a guy with Tin Banishment Catalyst. Everytime he casted HSM only 3 balls appeared.

Well I read that wrong.

Well obviously I never read that page, so for me it was a discovery. I don't see why anyone would read that page anyway, he's hardly any different from the hydra in Darkroot, so you shouldn't have any trouble beating him with the same tactics.

Also, the second part you quoted isn't mentioned, and neither is the part you didn't quote.

I've seen the orange signs up there, but I could never figure out how they got there. I tried jumping from a lot of different places, but nothing worked.
