TIL, that he Black Knight Great-sword has two backstab animations. Against normal enemies its the regular GS two skings n the back, the other is only against human enemies (phantoms, others players, and npcs). Where the attack is a brutal looking cleave that that digs twice into the opponents back.

im fairly sure alot of weapons do that, because with the crescent axe on normal enemies it does the normal small axe riposte but against human enemies it hits them twice then when theyre on the ground it smashes their face in

Isn't that because you were wearing the hornet ring? hornet ring special animations only work on humans

I discovered that the Great Hollow crystal lizards don't give a flying *** what your item discovery is when it comes to dropping slabs. I killed all 10 of them with 410 item discovery, not a single slab. I killed all 10 with 100 item discovery and got 2 slabs. You guess which time I actually wanted the slabs.

I found out you do a drop attack by jumping off the steps at the start of oollacile. Fighting some dude last night, one more hit he was dead, 3 more i was dead and i see him running and jumping prepared to swat him down and he plunged me(shut up dirty minds). It was such a "oh hi mark" moment. Tried it afterwards really need to press r1 at the right time, fair play to yer man, i'll roll next time.
Actually on the same steps, anyone seeing weird things happens with pursuers? Few times i've ran up to activate them and run back down the steps, watch them dissapate\hit the steps then i get slapped by nothing, like 1 or 2 of the orbs get through.

Speaking of Gough. yesterday, I noticed that Gough can't find you if you stay still after blocking one of his attack, allowing you to sneak up on him.
I realized he was blind, but I had no idea that so much had been put into the characters combat behavior.

yes, you can massively improve your chances against that brute-in-a-box if you employ hush-spell or the slumbering-ring, because he relies on his sense of hearing.

Actually he isn't blind .
His Helm is just covered in tree sap and he doesn't realize it .
Amazing how such a smart guy is so stupid at the same time .

You can knock the Iron Golem off the platform where you fight him. Was hacking away at his feet by the ledge and when he went to fall down, he just fell right off!

You can actually see back down into Anor Londo if you use binoculars to look out the little windows in the crystal hallway leading up to Seath's first room. You have to zoom way out and angle down, so the higher up windows generally work better.

Painted World has ambience playing around the spot that triggers the Xanthus invasion. Kind of an odd spot, since most players don't spend more than a minute there at a time and it's pretty quiet to begin with.
