ZOMG -- I'm famous!
2nd invasion
2nd invasion
A while ago I invaded the host in this video three times in less than half an hour. I checked after the first invasion to see if he was streaming and was surprised to find out he wasn't. I stumbled across this video much by accident surfing youtube. Apparently he and a few other streamers are doing a Podcast now. The second and third invasions are direct linked. My first invasion is the first of the video. I didn't bother to link straight to it because it happens fairly soon and the chat about the lock-on range in dark AL is ironic considering my build.
The fights were kinda awkward, escpecially seeing them from another perspective and looking back. I didn't land one cast or MLGS R2 in 3 invasions. There were a few I thought should have hit too. You can tell in the second invasion I get a bit frustrated. I posted a while back about using dark bead (I don't like it and don't like to use it -- but, I found it can be useful against annoying people or occasionally in certain situations). I used it twice in quick succession after not landing some hits I thought were good and taking some phantom range damage. It also looks like I fish pretty hard. In fairness I pretty much did. But, in fairness to myself; I was looking for legit punish BSes. Also, I couldn't land any magic and using a bunch of R1s against someone with a Mura who can toggle, parry & toggle/parry isn't the most appealing thought.
- Spoiler/Analysis:
You guys can ask Paragon how easy I am to parry (I'm not). I like fighting people who parry and I have a good idea when they're coming (though often it's rather obvious). I knew very well who it was as soon as I invaded and I know he is a pro at parrying. That begs the question "how the hell did I get parried right away???" Answer: IDK My jaw dropped when I was playing. I swung while he was out of range on my screen expecting to whiff or barely hit him. He jumped from out of range to riposting me on my screen. *sigh*
I held my own after that and I knew I was close, but I had no idea how close until watching. I was hoping to kill him before the red showed and knowing I was close is a total bummer. I was highly suspicious of the red just based on the weapon he had. I can't type my out loud reaction to seeing the rest of the fight for the first time and confirming that yes, that %#$% was a !$^#in' was a hacker.
I never knew there was a red in the second invasion -- glad I beat him to the punch this time. Watching it again, I have no idea how I didn't get that first BS on the stairs, but looking at the damage I did with the R1 spam I think I came out ahead! I thought I had the parry too. The worst part was the fireball that hit me right in the face... never saw it. Fire Whip was not going to get me (nor would any of the Mike's at Jerp's office ) that would have been easy to punish. I missed the BS on the fireball because I had my shield up as to not eat an unlocked pivot fireball. I definitely did turtle though! LOL
Third invasion was fairly quick and straight forward. For the record, I saw him on the stairs I was just making room to grass and make sure he couldn't get my soul masses to fire off prematurely. Again he dodges everything, then I punish a fire whip and take damage somehow (it looks fine in the vid, but I remember thinking wtf?). I kinda fumbled with the soulmass recast and that looked exactly the same on my screen as it does in the video. I was lucky not to get BSed there. That R1, R1, BS finish might be the first time I've ever tick-stabbed off an R1. I'm content to hit R1 forever or BS a toggle/parry. I was trying to BS a toggle/parry, but he didn't toggle and I wasn't going to pass up the BS.
Also, told ya!
