how do you use the chat function in xbox.com? Or did I misunderstand you?

I had a guy who was using the ring of fog while I gravelorded the forest. he was a cracked orb or dw user. He invades but never shows up so I start walking. I notice the dead foliage moving so I get closer and the invader ran. I ran after him but could not find him. Next thing you know he sent me a msg. but like you I looked at the xbox.com site and saw him coming up.

Anyway, after I killed him (he did run a second time after I poisoned him) I told him he belongs in the depths with the scum there. haha.

Well basically you log on to: www.xbox.com or www.live.xbox.com and login using your Hotmail account ID/password (since Microsoft owns Hotmail the same ID/password will work). Once you login you probably will need to go through a couple of more steps to link to you XBOX account and that's it. The web site UI is fairly user friendly and simplistic.

You can send/receive XBOX PMs, friend requests, etc via the web site (instead bringing up that huge white box blocking your view within the game) and still be able to play with no hindrance. You can quickly send and read PMs this way.

But you can't chat using xbox.com or live.xbox.com only PMs right? I already use the PM feature in Xbox.com. Is live any different?

You are correct you cannot voice chat through the website only text chating. That would be cool to be able to voice chat via the website.

During the mass invasion - I plan to moderate the voice conf. bridge via Google Voice client on my laptop - I will have a headset connected to my laptop so I won't have to cradle a phone (or deal with echo if I was to use speakerphone). I will have 50 seats available on the voice bridge and we will also have Google Chat and Yahoo Chat up and running. My hands will be completely free other than my controller and a cold one .

Some people may at times want to communicate using the group voice chat function on the Xbox so I'm prepared for that.

Tonight I decided to make my contribution to the recruitment efforts. Sadly I don't have the time to do "door to door" like I've seen but I have taken a nice lesson from history.

I present....the power of propaganda posters. With a little free time and a good drawing app on my android phone I bring the first of possibly a series of graphics to advertise our mission....










There was apparently some trouble with this coming up but hopefully there is a picture above this.

I will be there, I dont have a laptop so I won't be able to chat. I'm still dont know what covenant I will be, but I would love to be Darkmoon. I need to start a new toon right away.

Edit: I saw that there's no level cap. What SL do you guys recomnend? I'm thinking 120.

::::Recruitment Status Update:::::

So far responses from various covenant members I have contacted on XBOX has been AMAZING !!! We have guys going to the back of the closet, dusting off their blades for this event. Everyone appears to be really stoked and excited. I will continue to go through the Book of the Guilty (XBOX) and contacting players.

Everyone please post this event on any & all DkS related forums that you know of. Also, per DxV04 suggestion if anyone knows the URL for foreign (i.e. Japanese) DkS forums please post (in this thread) or PM me the info and I will cross-post on those forums.

Great marketing/advertisement poster - do you any suggestion on how we can use it - meaning posting locations, etc? I am sure it will help us get the word out about the event.

Any forums beside this one that we're also part of, facebook if you have gaming friends, anything you can think of. I was just about to change my profile pic to this if possible so any post I make will have this along with it. Anyone is free to use this pic however they want. Although if you find a way to profit off it after From gets their cut I want in

Have another propaganda poster. I know they're both a little cartoony but it can be a royal pain, as well as time consuming, to make things a little more grim and realistic on my phone. It's a big "if" but if I have time maybe I will make a third one, free handing something a little darker. Anyway....hope these at least get a few chuckles...

I saw this thread a few days ago and finaly made myself an account after months of lurking around here.
I joined the forest bro's a week or so ago and im loving it.
Been pvping every evening since i got there on ng+.
Ill definately be online on 24 march and try to help out killing those farmers hah.
Had some awesome 3v1 today where i managed to win lol.

Good its 24hrs non stop farmer slaughter haha.

Also, a few hours ago i invaded a gl who was in the forest, dropped him 6 eyes of death and used the crystal to leave, he was so happy with the eyes.
He send me a message afterwards to thank me and i directed him to this thread, so we got another gl joining in .

we even became friends on xbox lol

Bamjam - welcome to the struggle. It was good to hear you could drop some EoDs to our GL brothers and you may have even found another sword for our ranks.

I am on XBOX and I will make sure to send you friend request later. As we get closer to the Mar 24 date - take a look at the top post from time to time. I will updating it as more information become available.

Thanks! I plan to go check dialogue lists for Alvina and Shiva. Maybe find some non "pernicious caitiff" references but man I love that quote.

I personally like the running out of litter reference LOL.

However, if you want a challange you can try to make something with the gravelord but you don't have to do it now.
