Well well, interesting fights in Anor Peku. I do like the covenant but and I really wish it to increase in popularity. By the way, when you guys kill someone do you tell them who you are? As in the covenant and it's purpose? Do you send a message at all?

Re: Assassins of Vinheim
Yes you can. The only issue with your build was the use of both high level sorcery AND rapiers. The Spooks are to rely on the high level sorcery and have daggers as a backup.
I've been successfully assassinating in the painted world for a while, one of the funniest ones happened a few days ago:
I invade and the host is waiting by the bonfire. I rush past him and run past the first set of enemies to the bridge. I cast fall control and wait, the host takes care of the enemies and rushes me as I jump off the bridge. I run to the double doors and open them as he had not yet opened the shortcut. Using the ring of fog I hid in a corner behind the impaled corpses near the bonfire. The host comes back and attempts to summon a phantom. I wait for a moment and he turns his back to me, I then jump out and plant Velka's squarely between his shoulders. He gets up nearly dead and swings his Demon's Great Machete and I land a textbook roll backstab to finish him.
@DXV04 we will begin sending messages starting with the first event, but now I'm giving everyone time to get their builds ready and get some practice in.

Err, with regards to non event assasinations, I should rephrase my question. Do you guys have a motto or something you say to your victims during normal operating hours hehe. (advertise!)

Re: Assassins of Vinheim
No hahahahaha, but like I said we will start doing that every time with our assassin characters.
I've had people not involved with the forums ask about it because they saw the wiki page. Sadly I've lost contact with most as they do not reply to my messages on PSN on a regular basis. I do believe I have a few more members in the works I'm just waiting for them to get back to me saying they are joining for sure.

Re: Assassins of Vinheim
First off, we will not pursue and harass other players because of personal grievances. Second it is well known that the forest has NO RULES. Third I hope you realized that assassinations are for fun, not for serious. On top of that there is no way to seek out one individual player. Lastly, for God's sake this is a game, I feel like many forget that.
Now, I urge you to take the youtube link out of your post, I don't want my thread getting locked.

Re: Assassins of Vinheim
Grrrr this is tough. I originally intended to make a debonair infiltrator style assassin. I even came up with a grand story about how Issur was sent by the Dragon School to infiltrate the mannor of one of Vinhiems Dukes so as to steal information and then assassinate him. But ends up betraying his masters and working for the Duke as his Hand.
I had wished for him to have the Velka's Rapier/ a rapier, stealth spells, a long over coat, and various other goodies. Seems I could be a Darkstalker (is it?) but I'd be all sneaky and have a few weak spells. Okay Err?

Re: Assassins of Vinheim
Viral-they're all supposed to be sneaky hahaha. I don't want darkstalkers using high level spells like HSM, Soul Spear, CSS and CHSM. I don't want spooks to use stronger weapons. Without these limitations every assassin would use the same build and same spells essentially.

Re: Assassins of Vinheim
I may join this soon, depending on how my current thief build goes. Atm Im kinda annoyed at it cause I failed to get the DWGR but if I get back into it I'll let you know.

Re: Assassins of Vinheim
I actually don't use the dwgr nor recommend use on a thief type character. I typically use the lingering dragon crest, fog ring, bellowing dragon crest (for gmw and cmw), hornet ring and wolf ring.

Yeah I just read your cov page. But at the time I wanted to give my char a bit more armour without investing in end.

I don't mean using Crystal Soul Spear. Just the really basic spells. I'm experimenting with Hush and Hidden Body right now. It would be awesome if thier effects were stackable. Gimme till tomorow and I'll be able to throw down a better build that fits here.
To be fair this is the first int build Ive ever made so itll take time.

Re: Assassins of Vinheim
@Viral Its alright dude, I'm patient. They are stack able if you use the rings and the spells. So use the slumbering dragoncrest ring along with hidden body. If you'd like me to make you a solid build I'm more than happy to.
@Dough we don't use much armor and I'd recommend leaving end under 30 if you're going to try for this covenant.

Is the black clerics set acceptable attire for my assassin he looks pretty sneaky as he is now.

Re: Assassins of Vinheim
Yeah, I listed all the armors on the assassins page on the wiki, but in general if its light armor, dark or has something to do with sorcery its probably accepted.

Re: Assassins of Vinheim
Yeah but I don't relish doing it at SL 45 them 4 Kings would wipe out poor Issur before he could even get past the 1st one.

Im gonna try them. Using a bit of magic and a +9 fire/+4 chaos should help out with dps.

@Viral- I'll be rolling a character around that level pretty soon who will need to kill them so I can help you out. Remember in pve you don't have to play as an assassin its only during pvp.
