Unreal: Moron tries to sell the wiki on Amazon

Dear all,

I am certain you will be all as surprised as I was when I happened upon this "author" on kindle books who has copied and pasted our wiki into a text file and is attempting to sell it on ebay for the outrageous amount of 3.36 pounds.

Our wiki copyright licence is as follows:

Since this person is clearly infringing on our copyright, I will be sending an infringement notice to Amazon and hope to see this account suspended shortly.

However, I believe the community would likely like to share their opinions of this in the seller's page so that some poor hollowed soul doesn't fall for this scam.

Definitely interesting, while i think that this was a deplorable act on the part of the person trying to sell the information, I think that all of you should take it as a compliment that this person thought that the information that you have all contributed to the wiki was impressive enough that it could be commercially feasible to sell . Good eye catching this Fex .

On the commercial side: we've been approached about commercializing the wiki numerous times so we knew its attractive. But we don't agree that the work of thousands of peopole should be used by a few to fill their pockets so we have refused every proposal & have no ads on site (the ones you see here when you aren't logged in are forumotion's - we paid to remove them from member view)

I see a lot of this sort of stuff happen to Deviantart people, it's ridiculous how far scum will sink.

I wasn't suggesting that the information get commercialized, just that it is a representation of how much effort everyone has put into the site. That is surprising that many others have asked about commercializing the site though, I never would have thought!

I'm appalled anyone would try and make a profit from this community's work (not just the forum, but all the people who have put hard work into the Wiki). And from the "author"'s other works, it looks like he/she has a history of ripping off wikis.

Personally, I don't mind my work being shared to everyone, but as long as no one undeserving profits from it. Hell I'd even gladly donate my work to From for them to profit from! (Only if said profits all go toward making the next souls game, though!)

This "author" needs to be exposed.

sorry guys that was me I'm going through some serious money problems right now. Originaly i tried to sell it for some souls (because BS keep taking mine :'( ) however no buyers so i figured i could sell it on ebay than use the money to buy souls from Greengoblin he has tons to spare (since he has a super secret anti BS fighting style) Im so jelly

It is indeed terrible and this ought to be exposed. I hope Amazon takes swift action but, in the meantime, this person should not get away with selling this so leave dire warnings!

@BLA1NE, don't worry the very existence of the wiki makes From money. If there was no wiki and forums the community would fragment and wither and the players would resell their games and not care about it. We are doing our part to keep the game active and selling!
