Im using it on my SL 8. At +7 its the only weapon that, even on a riposte, has given me the overkill bonus for silver knights.

In the description from the Gargoyle's Halberd it states ;
'' perfectly shaped bronze halberd without any special power''
But Im almost certain that it has a build in critical modifier

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
I've noticed a disturbing trend hunting today. I hope it's not becoming more common, but I've had different hosts disconnect right before they die, losing basically nothing. I know it's a win for us, but it's really infuriating to be denied the souls and the satisfaction of actually killing them.
Also, I have a question about the soul reward for killing a host or phantom. I always thought it was 10% of the soul cost for them to level up, but I killed a lone host today who gave me 800,000 souls, which means that it would take 8,000,000 to level up. I didn't think it went that high, even at level 700. Can anyone clarify that for me?

Disconnecting when losing is cheap & childish behaviour carried over from fighting-games ., It's even worst then buttonsmashers
I really wonder what goes around in their minds ,
there isn't even a win/loss ratio type of leaderboard in Dark Souls :?:

@Ziko - what's up bro. Thanks for the help on my GL . I'm still trying to get through the place I hate most - Sen's Fortress.Trying to get to Ano Londo so I can attend the GL event this month in PW. Keep spreading the misery bro.
I invaded the forest for the first time in a few days - that place will never change but I love it none the less. Disconnecting hosts are punks through and through - no skill, no honor - nothing but empty vessels.
Keep taking to these fools and have some fun while your doing it.
For the glory Alvina and hail Gravelord Nito!!!

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
I've been on vacation in Skyrim for a little while now but will be invading the next three nights. Tonight might be normal forest hunting but the next two days will be shenanigans for the Fourth of July Party. Broke, I think you should do some Fourth pranks in the forest. I would love to hear how you dropped dung pies all over a host's world and started another feud like the one with tarragon.

Hey Skare - I think I will take you up on that. I need to read the event thread so I know the criteria for the event (dress, pranks, etc) - need to make sure I'm in character. Yeah - just can't seem to get a good beef started with anyone LOL - oh well such is life. Hopefully, I will be able to get some decent playing time over the next couple of days - the real world just keep butting in LOL.
Let's have a good time over the 4th people - hopefully I will be seeing some forum members taking it to these gankers - Alvina's says we gotta keep 'em in check.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
If you're going for fights the weapons are Summer party themed so Frisbees and BBBQ (Ring shield and pyro). I'm gonna do some forest fighting with that get up but that's a long ways from my comfort zone. Hopefully there'll be some funny stories at least. I also plan on dropping many dung pies for gankers

@ Willy
Heey man how've ya been ? Really , you hate Sen's Fortress ?
Too bad man , I absolutely loved the fortress during my first playthroughs when it was still fresh , especially for the design , puzzles & environmental traps
It's got that nice dungeon-crawling feel to it , and the snake-men are really cool aswell.
I think the area I hate most , would be Lost Izalith , for various reasons
I was duelling some friends at the Stone Giants area of the forest last night , and I did some GLing near the bonfire on Sunday ,
but I haven't invaded the main forest anymore eversince the event...tired of getting ganked
Hope to See you spreading misery somewhere soon .,

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
Also, I have a really useful tip for forestwraiths and any hunter with cracked eye orbs. I realized it a couple of nights ago as I usually chill in the area between the bonfire and the Parish while waiting to invade, and I'm seeing a ton of apparitions near the bonfire. Even supposing that 1% of the gankers are, at any given time, taking a break to rest at the fire, or have died and are un-hollowing for a fresh gank, that's still a lot of people who each have a 30-second window between spawning at the bonfire and getting back past the door. Enough time for an invasion, in fact. If you're around the level range of the gankers (usually 100-200), you can invade them while they're helpless, unable to summon phantoms and gank you. Once that fog wall goes up, they can't get back to the gank until they kill you, which means you can have your way with them.
So, my fellow hunters, if you want to take a break from standard hunting, use your cracked reds to invade not the forest, but that narrow strip of land between the bonfire and the Parish. In fact, I urge you to. It's just another problem for the gankers if they get invaded during a period of supposed rest.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
Urgh. I'm afraid ghadis it does not quite work like that. you see the bit at the bonfire is moonlight butterfly boss territory so the gankers can become immune to your invasions simply by killing it. however those people who use the moonlight butterfly zone as an arena if they are forestwraithing will be caught by you. and if their soul is on the ground will lose their stuff because unlike the gankers they come out of a loss in human form with no opportunity to collect at leisure.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
I'm pretty sure it counts as Sif's area as well, so you can get invaded if Sif's alive but the butterfly's dead. I invaded fairly regularly at SL185, in that dead zone between 120 and 225 where you can't usually get pvp, and I can't see any other explanation for it other than catching gankers with their pants down. They're the only ones who do heavy PvP in those levels.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
hey guys quick question. The cat ring, does it have a level cap? Or can you invade any level?
'cause ive been wanting to do a higher level character, and if i can;t invade any level, then i have no use for it. As i play on xbox, and the traffic is much less than psn.

This is not correct
Also ,
The Butterfly Forest is divided into 2 separate area's , the bonfire area & the Stone Giants Area.
If you activate your red or blue orb close to the bonfire , you won't invade a human who's walking around in the Stone Giants area

You can invade up or down without restriction but it will try to pair you close if possible.
