Re: Sigs getting out of hand?
I hope I can view threads again! This sort of stuff was basically barring me from going into some threads since it would crash my computer.

Re: Sigs getting out of hand?
Sadly, my computer at work (which I only use during scheduled break times) had issues while my phone did not. Way to go micro technology!

And Dib's still causes me a lot of slowdown.

Re: Sigs getting out of hand?
Tolvo can I recommend you putting your spoiler in your sig at the top? I think stuff gets moved down and you don't see all the information.
I did the same with mine as a result

Re: Sigs getting out of hand?
The sig nerf worked very well. I tried to create the same browser slowing sig that I refered to earlier in this thread and failed. However, I think I just made a version 2.

Accidentally went on a page with you and Dibs, crashed my computer again. I'll just have to block the both of you.

Re: Sigs getting out of hand?
Stuffing sigs with gifs or other content to slow down browsers won't fly. It slows down the moderators tremendously, so I'll be disabling the signatures in those instances as they are encountered.

Re: Sigs getting out of hand?
Hmmm...
Should I remove my sig then?
Does the gifs I use bother you, or slow down your browser?

One or two typically isn't an issue. It's when you get several in there that things really get slowed with loading.

Re: Sigs getting out of hand?
^ Sorry, I just had to see how well the nerf worked. You should've seen the last sig I made. It was a lot worse because the entire sig wouldn't fit in my monitor.
I'm glad we got the nerf. It was definitely needed. Now that I know the effectiveness of the nerf I'll stop testing it.

Re: Sigs getting out of hand?
What's with this penchant for blocking and low tolerance? I have to oversee and moderate thousands of you without the luxury of blocking. Compartmentalizing and assimilating even consistently grating opinions into the full forum paradigm gives me the most complete picture of where the community stands. In many ways, I'm thankful to not have the luxury of blocking.

Q*Bert was excellent at blocking. Although I think I might be referring to a different definition than the rest of you.

I prefer also to not block, though it's more because I feel blocking itself is actually quite petty..
But being able to see everyone's view is helpful to me, though i've never had reason to block anyone

I have never blocked anyone, and most likely will not.
But I have considered it.

Re: Sigs getting out of hand?
I blocked Dibsville because his Sig is/was so huge .
On other Forums there's an Option to disable Sigs altogether so you don't have to view Sigs at all .
That doesn't really solve the issue, but it's definately better than blocking People .

So if a guy has a large sig he doesn't deserve to have his posts seen by you? :|

If it crashes my computer yeah, I'm going to block him. Seeing his posts aren't worth having my computer crash constantly.

Re: Sigs getting out of hand?
Yours have little movement and are really small so it doesn't effect me at all.
