However, I don't think this counts as you doing the damage. I tried farming green chunks near the Depths Bonfire once with this method and was killing slimes en masse but getting nothing. When I started killing them normally they began dropping stuff then, so I guess the lightning aoe just counts as environment damage.

^ It's definitely you doing the damage. You get souls, and you absolutely get drops. You get drops when enemies run themselves off cliffs too. You were just getting unlucky. Happens to the best of us.

I like it's moveset. It makes doing thrust damage easy. Stack some poise, equip leo ring, bang. You smack 'em in the head when they underestimate your swing speed.

Gargoyle Halberd also does thrust damage... just sayin'

There's nothing wrong with the Lucerne. I use it with my leo ring build pretty regularly. It's a beast against people without a lot of poise.

It's by far my favorite of the pole arms. By far.

Hell to the yeah. I now want to run around with a halberd in every weapon slot.

Well it ain't that bad, but there is better. Halberds have always been my go-to weapon for PVE. So when I saw the Lucern and remembered the Mirdan Hammer, I expected much awesomeness to ensue... awesomeness did not ensue.

It just feels so awkward now. All halberds do actually, but the Lucern is probably the worst.

I have one problem with the Lucren. And it just looks too big! The pole seems so Wide, compared to the Halberds... (Someone is gonna read that in a Sexual way...)

Yeah, I feel ya sloth. I remembered the MH from DeS, and I was like:

"I just won this f*cking game."

I pulled it out, then was all like:

"Dafuq?"

Believe it or not, I actually prefer its moveset to the Halberds. That's the reason I started using it. The others felt too awkward, and that felt the most natural to me. Once I really got the hang of it, I really started enjoying it. I use it as a backup for my spear/leo ring toon. Generally use it against people using shields that can't parry. Just spam the crapola out of their shields. Because all of it's moves do thrust damage, you get crazy amounts of counter damage.

Yeah. I killed a invading twink when I was lvl 19 with it, it was +5, did drake sword damage.

Lil' ***** had a lightning rapier.

I messaged him after cracking his skull open:

"Ehrmahgerd! Lertnerng rerper. Pr0 lel'"

after playing with the G-halberd for a while, i keep asking myself why i never used it before! so much damages and a decent moveset, what's not to like (plus it's enchantable!)?

There's an invisible structure hanging out of the ceiling in one of the large rooms in the Township. It's the area with all the bloated citizens and the two dark sorcerers, with the one up high on the raised platform by the hanging body you can shoot down. Stand towards the back of the room on the left side, and try to snipe the sorcerer on the high platform. There's an invisible wall hanging down in front of him on that side. At least in the Ps3 version.

I'm a fan of scythes, so halberds for the win, amirite?
