Very true but if they don't stop me with something thats a turn 4 kill. Typically though this won't happen so we are looking at a late game at which point I have safety nets in place (Thalia, Grand Abolisher, Faith's Shield) so I suppose it will be entirely situation dependent. I do see some interesting edh possibilities though...

dont help much if they just wipe the board sun i.e. Doj, WoG, damnation, etc.

True but there are ways around that. Those cards screw up most people's plans a bit. Regardless I'm going to play around with him as an edh commander and see what happens.

Ha I could say that about any deck. I counter this, destroy that, bounce this, exile that, etc. Every plan and deck has a weakness if you can find it.

Same can be said of every deck. Leyline of the void, leyline of singularity, acetisism, avatar of slaughter? Levitate, darksteel forge, they can all ruin entire decks.

Ascetism is fun. All my stuff now has hexproof suck it:tongue:
Regardless I'm messing around with it on Tapped Out now so I will post the results eventually.

That was my point though, is 1 card can undo any deck, the trick is to know and have ways to counter all of them for the deck you're using. In edh anyways

There are ways to counter everything; that is the essence of MTG. If something is too ridiculous then they ban it.

Both were banned in standard, possibly modern and there are 40000 ways to destroy target creature or permanent.

That doesn't make them any less disgusting though. They really ruined standard for me before they were banned.

To every move there is a response; that is the beauty of mtg.

didnt help to counter or negate if you didnt have one and if they had a mindsculptor that had enough counters to stop you from doing anything...i hate blue so OP its ridiculous

Only in control. Blue is not adept at winning by itself usually; how many monoblue decks do you see? With the exception of legacy merfolk that is.

I never see monoblue let alone good monoblue. Blue/white is common, blue/black slightly less so, and blue/red is uncommon but not super rare.

If he actually uses basic cancel he probably doesn't know how to play blue.
